Since $1k wouldn't be enough for a Colt SAA, I would say Colt Delta Elite instead. ;)

When it comes to guns, I've always favored cosmetic appeal over any other characteristic.

That being said, I've always liked the look of a Colt Trooper Mk III/V... blued, of course! That's what I'd like to cone home with for 1K.

Alas, I'm only 20, so I'll probably end up getting a Uberti replica of a Winchester M1873. I've been working all summer towards one. I've dropped a lot of money on milsurps. I'd like a new gun I can really play with this time around.

^ I just read where Winchester is reintroducing the 1873 in .357 mag a bit more than 1k though

^^^ Copy that! Or a nice Garand or WW2 era M1 Carbine! I would love to start a World War 2 collection!

100th post! Only took me over 4 years to get here :)

I would sell one of my other guns and add that to the 1K and get a Ed Brown Cobra Carry

A CZ 452 or 455 .22LR with the full "Mannlicher' stock and spend the rest on ammo. Have been drooling over these for awhile now but haven't been able to find one when the money is available.

It'll probably be a nice 1911, or a good AK47 (Arsenal or Saiga).

I'd buy three $300 guns, then list those in the: '$300 and no gun at all' thread.

Not many of the guns I'm lusting after are that cheap! But for $1k I'd probably take either an HK USPc in 9mm, a P2000 with a light LEM trigger, a P30 with the LEM Match Hybrid trigger or a P2000sk with the LEM.

I've been hooked on Savage bolt action rifles lately, and I would get another one. Probably the 12 Bench Rest in 6mmBR with a 1 in 8 twist.

I have a rifle in 6mmBR but it's a 12 twist. The 8 twist allows heavier / longer bullets to be used.

These go for just over a grand street price, but to me they're worth it.

RIght now, as in this week, probably a Winchester or Remington authentic gallery gun in 22 short.

I am watching one right now at a pawn shop on the east side. So far I have not convinced myself to pull the trigger. But that could change at any time.

I've got plenty of guns, my 1K would be going for upgrades to those I already own. Some grip work and a CT laser for my Glock and some upgrades for my 10/22 TD & AR15.

Probably a Para p14 or a RIA .22tcm and as many mags and as much ammo as I could get. I know, I know I suffer from magazine capacity OCD.
