Hello all,
I just bought a Yugo M70 Underfolder AK. This one was built by Century International Arms on a DC Industries receiver. I think the barrel may be new, but I'm not 100% sure.
Upon close inspection and cleaning the trash out of the bore, it appears that the gas port was drilled in the barrel ALL THE WAY THROUGH, from where the channel in the gas block meets the barrel on the "top" of the rifle all the way throgh the barrel and at least partially throgh the other (bottom) wall of the barrel. I can't tell with certainty if the hole goes all the way through the bottom wall of the barrel unless I remove the gas block, and I'm not equipped to do this.
IF YOU HAVE ONE OF THESE RIFLES, would you mind telling me if yours is the same way? In other words, is this normal for these Century Arms built M70's? Seems kind of strange to me.
A also have a WASR-10 and the gas port was not drilled all the way through the other side of the barrel; neither is my SKS.
Thanks in advance for your help.
