I've shot or owned quite a number of 9mm pistols that I've liked:

-Sig 228/226/225
-CZ-75B and PCR
-HK P7M13/P7M8
-Glock 17/19

Beretta 92FS. Back in 1990 it was new to me. It is the one handgun I have held on to the longest. I cannot call it my favorite pistol anymore, the USP in .40 has taken that role, and I shoot .40S&W most of the time now, but the old Beretta is a great pistol, and remains the 9mm favorite that I have..

I've been following this thread with some interest. As P95Carry said, not too many mentions of the Ruger P95.

For sure, everyone has their own preference, and for lots of different reasons. My first 9mm handgun was a CZ85, and I sold it within the first month. A friend I went shooting with had a Ruger P89 and I could compare the two. The CZ's trigger was "mushy," while the P89's trigger was nicely crisp. And, although the "feel" of the CZ was good, the P89 with Hogue grips felt just as good, if not better to me. So that's reason I bought my second 9mm, a Ruger P89. I still have that P89, but I like the P95 just a bit better.

Anyway, I had to laugh when I read this post from Chaim on another thread: "My first auto was a Ruger P89 and while it may have been a little more reliable than the CZ I far prefer my CZ. I would take a CZ over a Ruger any day."

To each his own, huh?

Alright my favorite 9mm has changed.

I've been shooting my latest addition, a Browning Hi-Power. I am in complete and total love. I just bought 3 factory mags at the gun show, and 3 of the 17 round South African Mags from CDNN. Going shooting tomorrow to test them out. But I've shot 1000+ already through it and have been amazed at how well it shoots. This is my first Hi-Power, I hope it isn't my last.

I'd still grab the Sig 239 for a CCW though.

Hands down my Browning Hi Power. It points like it is an extention of your hand, is single action, classic looks, never fails to feed and fire, easy to carry and it was designed by the best.
I have added wood grips, extended slide release, and I milled the slide for melted rear sight and dovetail front sight.
Face it, the gun is dead sexy:D

and another vote for SIG

While my Hipower fits my hand very nicely I would have to narrow it down to either SIG 225 or SIG 226 :p
- as I am only allowed one I have to take the 225 for concealment it's better - I'd like night sights & laser option
(I have that on 226 & just got the 225 so we'll see about that part).

I haven't shot many 9mm's. I have owned 2, a early production Kahr K9 and a Glock 17. The G17 didn't fit my hand very well and I was never really that accurate with it. However, it was 100% reliability. The Kahr K9 on the other hand fit my hand perfectly and I was dead on accurate with it and for the most part was reliable. I bought a couple boxes of American ammo which it did not like, would not go fully into battery, the G17 however ate it gleefully.
I've seen and held many 9mm pistols, but for the size for caliber, simplicity, lack of switches/levers (ala Glock) feel and accuracy I would have to undoubtedly vote for the new and improved Kahr K9

Browning Hipower (it just feels right) - I like the looks of the CZ75, too, but that trigger looks like a long reach for a DA.

Beretta 92D. Ultimate simplicity in a point & click interface. 15 round mags are plentiful. The trigger is the same everytime. If I have a misfire a second stike is only a trigger pull away. Big enough to be comforting, and small enough to hide.

Browning P-35 HI Power.
I have two in 9mm, a WW II with Nazi naval markings, all matching serial numbers, tangent sights. The other is a commercial model made in 1972. Both are ultra reliable, and very accurate.

The only other 9mm that comes close to pleasing me is my CZ 75 D PCR.

Ruger P95

Because I've only owned 3, a Hi-Point, nuff said and a Kel-Tek P11 which was just two small for me to shoot and that Dao trigger was rough. I really like my P95, because it is completly reliable to shoot and I think a good looking gun.

MY BHP was the first gun I bought. It's a great shooter and functions well all of the time, But for me the closest thing to perfect right now is my SIG P225.

Wow lots of BHP fans here. It was the first handgun I ever bought. It points naturally, feels good in the hand, plenty accurate, and its just simply a classic design. Sold it because I didn't know any better back then.

My current favorite 9mm though is the Sig Sauer P226. Its the most accurate 9mm I ever shot (next to the H&K P7/M8), extremely reliable, and I even like the DA/SA trigger. Okay I'll admit it, the fact that its issued to US Navy Seals has a certain cache I like.:p
