ars seem too picky for me. im used to glocks, aks, pump shotguns. i want a bolt rifle for longer distance accuracy, not ar.
What do you mean by "seem too picky"?

I'm guessing he feels the same way I do...
I've never cleaned my new ak47 and never will, it's only got 1200 rounds in her.
I've never cleaned my 870 either, it just works... All the time.
I do clean my revolvers and semi autos because I carry them, and I do clean my 300 win mag M70 because it's my longer range hunting gun.
I think he means they require more cleaning and maintenance than what he is used to.
My thoughts
So taking 30 min every couple thousand rounds to clean a rifle is considered exorbitant and puts it in the picky category? Alrighty then.
This poll is much closer than I thought it would be.
Bought one weeks ago for my grandson (7) and me. It'll be his indoc to the evil black gun. Great little shooter so far. Put a tiny laser on the bottom for night time dillos, skunks, etc and a Vortex Venom Reflex + Vortex AR-height QD riser atop. The reflex, riser, laser added only 4.5-5 oz total. Remains very light and lots of fun.I kind of, sort of have one.
I just picked up an M&P 15-22.
I have other long guns, both for hunting and self defense, so to me owning a real AR wasn't high on my list.
I do enjoy .22 plinking however, and buying the 15-22 is the best of both works.
I can shoot all day for 30 bucks of ammo.
