I had a keltec sub 2000. The new wore off pretty quick. It jammed, not all the time. But on te last shot irks fail to eject, as a rule, and it also would fail occasionally with a round or too left in the mag. I had the original version with glock 22 mags. I th jerked on it a good while and never could get it to function. I was reading a lot on ktog forum about how to coax it into working. I finally got frustrated with it and sold it. I sure would like to give another a try though because it was real neat.

In thinking about trying one of the CCU for 1911. Though I've not figured out how I'd configure it yet.

That is pretty neat. I have thought in terms of a survival .22 once or twice, enough to at one point consider a Papoose or a Henry Acu-Bolt for purchase if I ran into one.

I have one of the folding Kel-Tec SU-16 guns; I guess that sort of counts...

I have generally cooled on the concept, because I don't get to shoot much nowadays anyway. Impromptu session or not. Still a fan of the basic premise, though.

For those of you running shotguns you should look at "Cut Shells". We called them "Ringers" in Texas. Basically it is just a ring cut around a shotgun shell to make a slug-like projectile. The cut should be make over the wad and one-piece wads work the best. We used these to hunt pigs and they are great. I will say that you need to make a few and learn how to cut them or they will either not separate or the shot will escape through the front of the hull while in flight. Once you have it down it is a great way to add some versatility to your shotgun.

I know how to do cut shells. I expect it would add some pressure but I don't know. I've found, if you do a half spiral cut on each side, it works well and isn't floppy so it'll cycle and hold up better.

I’ve had this in the works for some time but finally getting around to putting it all together. This is a post war production Remington 141 chambered in 35 Remington. It was a full length rifle but I shortened the barrel to 18” and modified a williams peep sight for a mauser to fit the profile of the back of the receiver. I still need to get a front sight ramp on it.

I built this to stow away in the dry locker on my boat when I go camping in the summer for bear protection. It is a takedown rifle so I would like to get a waterproof bag to store it in 2 pieces.

If that’s the sort of tool a professional has to lug around he ought to bring Metamucil samples as well. Only stuck toilet that ever gave me trouble was because of a kid and a cleaning sponge carelessly left atop the tank by yours truly. Twice I removed the bowl before sending in the coat hanger out of desperation.

Back on thread, my AR pistol fits comfortably in a fairly small backpack.

Remington 700 PC. A bolt action .300 Blackout pistol. Folds up nicely, shoots both supersonic, and subsonic ammo.
With the subs (once I get my can out of ATF jail) it should be hollywood movie quiet.
One good way to survive is not to let the entire area know when you're shooting at something.

A Rossi combo, .22 and .410, a hi-point 995 in a tower bull pup stock, and a 18.5” barrel on a single shot savage 12 gauge with inserts for 20 and 410 as well as .22, .38/357, 9mm, 45 colt and acp.

Not to mention several carry guns and holsters. Including a neos. (I looked for that stock for it but have not found one at a price I was willing to pay yet. )
Oh wait, I just mentioned them didn’t I

A few weeks ago I modded an EGW rail meant for a Ruger American Rimfire to make it fit this Marlin 25N. I had to file a bit of a groove down the middle of the rail to see the sights, but the real reason for the rail was for some red dot shootin'. Popped a new Bushnell TRS-25 on it and away I went.

Man, this gun makes me smile when I go shootin' it. Cheap ammo, feeds perfectly, shoots accurately, nice controlled ejection, all on a cool sunny day. Good times, good times.
