How many own more than 1 gun in the same caliber?

2 .22 rifles and one handgun
3 .32 handguns
2 .30 caliber rifles

If you want caliber then thats the above, cartridge wise is different.

just because you have the same caliber firearm, doesn't mean they all fit the same niche.

12ga:1 Mossberg 590 for HD, 1 Ruger Red Label O\U for skeek and hunting (inherited), 1 Remmington 1100 semi for trap/other hunting (inherited)

.45acp: 2 1911's.bought one for fun/carry/sd/hd, love it, then later inherited another

.38spl: bought 1 S&W m637 airweight for deep ccw, inherited a charter arms Undercover.Both great guns

30-06: 1 Win. model 70 (inherited for hunting, 1 CMP Garand, because the are awesome, and every american should own one

7.62x54R: 1 Russian M44-it was cheap, the ammos cheap, and its lots o fun. also, a Chinese type 54, cause it's a bit more unusual and collectable than all the Fin and Russian mosins, and it was just WAY too cheap to pass up.

8mm Mauser: 1 Turk model 1893-bought cause ammo was cheap and plentiful ($50/700 rds at the time), and it was just something 'different' mauser-wise. Also have an all matching, all nazi marks, codes, stamps, etc intact K98, bought cause the price seemed right, and needed one for the WWII milsurp collection.

.22lr: 1 revolver, 1 bolt rifle, 1 semi-auto rifle.but, c'mon, who only owns 1 .22lr, seriously.if you do, yer a dirty commie...

7.62x39: 1 heavily modified WASR-10 AK clone.Great gun.couldnt be happier with it. 1 super minty, first year Izzy Russian sks (inherited), cause a milsurp collection NEEDS a Russian sks, and 1 Norinco "sporter" sks-m (takes ak mags), casue I inherited it, its fun, accurate, and just something different you dont see to often as far as sks's go.

I have several in same calibers. Easier to reload for (not having to switch dies on press all the time), easier to figure out if you need to buy more ammo (or reloading components).

of the 1 only guns, I only reload for the 45acp. The others are either not practical/possible to load for, or not worth the trouble for how much I shoot it.

I have 4 in .308.
2 FAL one carbine and one custom FAL
one DPMS
one Suppressed Remington.

Each one fills a niche. It's easier to reload, and I can save more brass.

I try to keep my calibers to the minimum. I own 60 odd guns, but only have to worry about a dozen calibers.

Yes, because there are a finite amount of calibers but more types of guns than a person can collect in a lifetime. Therefore there is bound to be dupes.

Because in handguns I buy just about everything in either 9mm or .45 ACP. I have a few .357's, 357 Sigs, .40's, .22's, 10mm's, etc. but they aren't the norm. I typically only shop for guns in 9mm or .45.

In rifles I own multiple .556's, .308's and 7.62x39's. These are the 3 primary calibers I buy rifles in. I have a few odd-ball's (8mm, 30-06, etc) but again, I stick to the primary 3.

Why? Because it makes buying ammo for my guns a hell of a lot easier.

Thats what comes directly to mind without opening the safe. I got rid of three 9mm's and one .40 over the yrs as well as my 300 Mag when I quit killing things smart enough to run away from me when I point a gun at them! (Post 18 Month Deployment)

I don't know a single gun owner, personally, that DOESN'T own more of one gun in the same caliber.

I have multiple guns in multiple calibers.

In fact of the 19 calibers I have stocked, there are only three where I have a single gun: .22Magnum, .40S&W and .30 Carbine. I really want to get another .40 though.

Yep i do, my G17 and Hs2000 are both 9mm and if i can i plan on buying another pistol chambered in the same caliber.

Short answer: Yes. Different platforms for different applications. For example, revolver, semi-auto pistol, bolt action rifle, and semi-auto rifle all in .22LR. Applications range from plinking, to hunting, to target shooting.

Because one's an old friend and the other is good lookin' <grin>.

2 x 357s, one for carry, one for silhouette (yea, underpowered, upgrading to 357 max)

1 x 22 rifle (CZ), 3 x 22 revolvers (Astra, Burgo, K22), 1 x 22 pistol (Browning International), 1 x 22 handgun (Anschutz Exemplar). Astra was cheap, inherited the Burgo, use the rest of these to shoot silhouettes.

I have four hipoint 9mm pistols with two shoulder rigs and to belt holsters. I like to wear all four of them under my black duster.

Seriously though, I have multiple firearms in the same caliber because it is more practicle in terms of stockpiling. This is a ficticious statement ofcourse because I own neither firearms or ammunition. Shhhhhhh.
