So it's been quite a while since I have been on here, and I'm coming back to say that I will be starting the processes to make custom grips for most if not all guns. I have noticed the extraordinary amount of custom grip maker's varieties and though they are various, they tend to be very...
My Fiancee's parents just bought me some shooting bags to take to the range. I have never used them before in the past and wondered what works best in them as a filler. The box recommends silica sand, or rice. My dad says to use some of those 6mm air soft gun rounds. Any thoughts?
Well I finally got a day off with my Fiancee, and took her to the shooting range for her first time. She shot some great 3/4 inch groups with my Marlin 795 .22. Fifteen or twenty minutes before we left, we were out of targets. We were sitting at the 100yrd range and I told her to try to hit the...
I have recently came across this American Bull Dog 5 round revolver. I have just a little bit of knowledge of its history. I don't however know how to put it together. It was given to me in pieces. I was told it was taken apart for cleaning and never put back together. I have no clue as to if it...
Was about to go to Wally world and look at the Nikon scopes they have in stock. I stopped by my dads house because it is on the way there. When I got there he said "I got somethin for you." Big smile on his face. I said "Ok, what is it dad?" Then he disappeared into the next room, and came back...
:banghead:Today I went to the range, and zeroed in my BSA scope. Was great for about 50 rounds. Then sloppy, so I re-zeroed and made sure everything was good and tight. Nothing was loose. Fired two more rounds, and lost zero again. Again everything was good and tight. So I said screw it pulled...
Well I have been looking at some gun vices, and many are out of my price range. So I'm goin up to Lowe's to grab some stuff to build my own. Any suggestions?
I bought one up at Basspro for my .22lr. Its a 3-9X40mm and looks great, and zeros even better on my rifle. I think I might buy another for a higher powered rifle. What do you guys think?
Checked my email just a minute ago, and got this nice little video. It is an interesting look at how technology is helping our troops, and in the not to far off future of personal hunting capabilities. Not that you need that much power for hunting, and definitely not at that range.:cool...
I think I am need of some assistance. My dad has never shot with a scope and neither have I really. What is a good range to sight it at? I won't be doin much hunting bought the gun for target practice. Thought about a laser bore sight but they are a bit pricey. Its also semi auto so that takes...
My family has never really had to many people that are into guns. The only real exceptions to that are my since passed grandfather, (WW2 vet) my dad, and I. However, there is one gun we could never let go. My grandfathers colt .45 sidearm that he carried with him into battle. What guns do you...
I have always used Either Federal or Winchester due to the fact that that is what my family uses. What is your Favorite? What kind of 22lr do you have?
Went up to bass pro yesterday and got me a Marlin 795. Looked around a little bit and picked up a nice little BSA scope for $30. (3-9x40) Now I got to wait for this Monday, and ill be at the range to zero it in. Looks killer with that little scope, and a strap. Anyone else have a 795?
Just a little heads up for those of you looking to buy a new scope. (I am not affiliated with Barska) Barska is having a sale on some of their scopes and spotters at 50% off. I'm looking to get a good deal, and am constantly looking for such deals.:D
Yes I know this subject has been brought up, but I am new and am wondering if I could get further info on this gun from owners. This will be my first gun, and will be putting some money into it, and lots of thought.
