It would be far more suitable in submachine gun then in a handgun.
I think the G29 is a more flexible system.I have a G29SF You can use it for carry with 10 round mags and then convert it for either HD or a hunting/woods gun with G20 mags and A & G mag sleeves and a Storm Lake 4.48" barrel. You can also shoot .40 S&W or 357Sig with a conversion barrel It's easier to make a G29 like a G20 than it is to make a G20 like a G29. Go for the G29SF.
