I am also going to make an educated guess that a 9mm and .40S&W version will be coming out in the near future too. The Single Stack race is getting exciting and better each year !!! God Bless :)

If they come out with a 9mm in a Compact/SC size, I think I will need to add it to my collection.

Sweet, I was going to pick up another CW45 after foolishly trading mine, but this may have to come first! Looks awesome and I am loving the idea of the grip safety on w CC gun that size.

i really hated the XD line because although it functions good so does the FNP, Glock, M&P, etc, except all of those look much better and why not get the one thats easy on the eyes.

Although i could definitly get behind the full size single stack, as that market has much less competition. It might find itself inbetween a rock and a hard place because of devote 1911 users, but i think it could complement a collection nicely without destroying your bankroll

It's too big for a pocket/backup gun & only five rounds puts it out of the running for a primary.

I guess this is their G36 competitor. I wonder why they couldn't squeeze an extra round in there to match the Glocks capacity, does that mean it's shorter than the Glock because of that?

I chose an XDm .40 compact over a G23 for specific minor reasons. I'd choose an XDm subcompact over a G26 for the same reasons, and for the additional reason of KISS (if I have one platform it's simpler to remember the MOA).

>>I guess this is their G36 competitor<<

Interesting, in that the G36 didn't exactly set the world on fire for Glock. :p

The looks are your opinion, I love the looks of the XD series.

Probably a very nice sidearm but it weighs 29oz empty? my full size service weight 30-31oz if i remember correct, a little heavy for a ccw for me, about 25oz is my limit.

I'm drooling! If they come out with a 9mm I might have to give up my PPS.
I wouldn't get rid of my PPS ... but it would have a new friend if Springfield Armory came out with a comparably-sized 9x19 gun with all the features of the XD9sc other than doublestack mags and width. I might even pay XD{M} prices for such a weapon! (the {M} stands for MoMoney)

I like a grip interlock lever
I like the XD mechanism
I like the XD takedown/maintenance
I like the build quality
I don't mind the XD weight (hey, the PPS is actually heavier than the P99c - A little extra weight isn't that bad)
Magazines couldn't possibly be worse than PPS mags in price/availability

In .45acp and only 5+1 rounds?
... ... ... maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe, but only for a really good price

I have a PPS and an XDM Compact. I love them both. In all honesty, I wouldn't get rid of either. But I'd need to come up with some excuse why I need another gun. :)

You think a glock looks good? Lol. Both the glock and xd are ugly.
