You think a glock looks good? Lol. Both the glock and xd are ugly

Alright you caught me lol;).

Im not a huge fan of glock looks either but man oh man the XDm's excessive "ridge-like" textures completely turned me off of them

The Glock isnt pretty either (takes home the silver in ugly imo) but at least it doesnt look like someone just hacked away at the slide and frame with a chisel.

The pictures ive seen of the XDm single stack actually look pretty nice though i will admit.(although i havent seen the full sized yet only the compact)

Looking at it a bit more, it's not "XDm" it's "XDs". Height 4.4", slide length 6.3"...

Still, when you're at this size of a weapon, I'd rather have a 9mm. +1 rounds could go a long way when you only have 5.

There are alot of people who leave home with nothing more than a J-Frame .38 with 5+0, so I don't see where 5+1 of .45 ACP is such a bad thing. A mag change is rather easy, and seeing what Springfield did with thier last few pistols, I'm pretty sure a full sized grip mag will be released. I'm sure they will get plenty of feedback before they release this officially. This little baby is going on my wish list, provided all the bugs get worked out.

That guy in the video may have the most annoying voice I've ever heard . . .

At any rate, I'm not personally seeing the appeal on this one. If I'm going to carry a compact single stack, I'm gonna want it in a 9mm or even .40S&W so that the frame can be made even thinner, and I can cram a few more rounds of ammo into the size.

In .45ACP - I'd honestly only be interested in something roughly 1911 sized (4.5 to 5" barrel, 7+1 capacity).

I"ve got that in my S&W CS40, but the dang thing is heavy!

Meh. Not a big improvement on anything IMO. Id take a CW45 over this any day.

XDS 45:

Height: 4.4"
Weight: 29oz
Barrel Length: 3.3"
Width: 1"
Length: 6.3"
Capacity: 5+1

Kahr CW45

Height: 4.8"
Weight: 21.7 oz with empty mag
Barrel Length: 3.64"
Width: 1.01"
Length: 6.32"
Capacity: 6+1

Yeah, I'm not really seeing the appeal either, I don't understand how they made a polymer gun so heavy. My P220 Compact is similar weight, size and carries 6+1

OK...thin is good, but too thin is bad...and the XDs is too thin (as are the Kahrs IMO).

Stagger the magazine just a little, which would add a little bit of width...and another round of capacity...then I'll buy one.

There is no logical reason to build a gun that is much thinner than a 1911....regardless of caliber.

Yeah, my PPS fits like it was made for me. And I wear 2xl gloves and a size 13 (14?) wedding band.

When I finally found one to handle in person, it was at Gander Mountain (awful prices) and in the fo-tay ... with one magazine ... in the wrong size

MrsBFD still had to remind me that I had to put it down and keep looking, but that was the end of wondering if I really wanted a PPS.
A few weeks later I found it for a good price in 9x19 and with the 6x & 7x magazines in the box - and it lives with me most of the time now.

How funny... same story here, except that Gander Mountain's outrageous price meant they were the only store for many miles that actually had one, so I bit the bullet, so to speak, and paid their painful price. After the first time I shot it, I didn't care. Such a wonderful gun!

i heard that they were offering a full sized XDs which i like the idea a full size single stack polymer pistol. A very empty market for that category.

Wether or not thats true im not sure though
