I can't believe that with all my salvating over the rifles and handguns in this thread that i misssed this..:uhoh::
I think with all of these 22-a-holics, there should be more competition in the monthly rimfire matches... There's too many of us in here to not have more participants...

what do ya think gvnwst???
I think so too (everyone look in my sig :D)

i have a winchester model 63 that was my grandfathers....shoot the crap out of it. and also a ruger mark II in stainless....both are awesome!!!

Here is my latest boomstick - the Mossberg M144 LSA .22 target rifle.

Ain't she purty? That has got to be one of the nicest walnut stocks I have seen in a long time. The blue is 99% - all the pieces and parts are there and function properly, the bore is bright and the action is slick.

I am very happily surprised that the quality of this gun was better than advertised. Especially for $330.00 - You have to be a little bit leery of buying something over the internet and trusting a complete stranger to not take advantage of you and your well-earned money. I have not had a single bad experience with purchasing through these on-line auction houses. Go figger.

I'm also pleased to have this particular gun back in my collection. It reminds me of how I got involved in shooting sports in the first place and brings back a ton of memories from my youth and high school shooting competitions. I won trophies and medals with this rifle from 1967 thru 1978.

It should be fun to teach my kids how to shoot a rifle with this gun (they have only shot pistols for the most part at this point) which is incredibly accurate and easy to handle - even if it is a little heavy.

ps - Saw this when I was still hunting for a bargain on this rifle:

Listed in the description for this rifle were two 20 round aftermarket magazines! I never heard of such for the mossberg 144?! Does anybody know where I can find them?

Yep, but I'm old and they're not all collector grade. I do have a few that I'm proud of. I think the word "addiction" was used earlier in this thread.

collection

Wundudnee,
That's a mighty fine collection of 22's that you are displaying. I really like the pumps the best. You don't find many of thse laying around anymore.

Wundudnee, you are my new hero.

I have eleven .22s, but now I can clearly see that that's not near enough.

I bought that same walmart ruger rbi and I couldn't stand the stock, so I refinished it. This crappy photo doesn't do it justice.

The only problem now is, it's almost too pretty to shoot...

Hi DB
That is one georgeous rifle!!!!:D:D I would have no trouble shooting it, only keeping everyone else from mooching a chanch to use it.;) Being a 10-22 International does it shoot anywhere near as well as it looks? Changing to the military style sling was a touch of class also.
