For the first time in about 2 months I saw 556 at the Academy Sports that wasn't in someones hands or cart. 5 boxes on the shelf. Their limits are working. Guy was trying to buy it all but they'd only sell him 1 box.

I got a case of federal yesterday for 450.00. I was happy with that. they got in 22 cases in on wed. and had 4 left when I left.

That tells us what? That tells us that some people out there will in fact pay $0.70 a round for everyday .223 ammunition. Go figure huh? Me? I'll just load more and look at my store bought loaded stuff from the good old days of a few months ago.

As long as people are stupid enough to pay the price the prices will remain high.

I actually saw a winning bid on GunBroker a little over a week ago that cost a guy $2006 for 1000 rounds of 223.
There were over a dozen bidders and it's my opinion that two guys with ego's and money just was not going to let the other get it away from him.
Auction fever at it's finest.

I have watched the same on GB with primer prices. $185+$15 shipping= $200.00 for ONE THOUSAND Small Rifle Primers-shipped.
26 bids on that auction-only 2 bidders were NOT NR (no buy/or sell) bidders.
One or two things are happening here-either people are in a frenzy over not having these things, or the Left Leaning Libs are "running up" the bids..Bill.
