I was just thinking that nothing upsets anti's more then AK's or 50 calibers. Is there any 50 cal beowolf aks out there? If so anybody with experince with one?

You should speak to Tony Rumore at Tromix. He's the man for such conversions.

Yeah, I made the first .458 Socom back in February of 2001. That picture the OP posted of the round in a magazine, was taken the evening that the gun was finished. The original gun is in the background, Tromix S/N TR-0004 which is currently being used by Corbon to test their ammo. I also built two AK's in .458 SOCOM as well as one Mini-14 and currently have plans to build a Sig 556 into a .458. Back in the late 90's I built AR's in 50AE, 440 Corbon, 44 Rem Mag, 357 Automag, and 44 Automag. I also built one AR in .475 Tremor which is the Socom case necked up to .475. The only big bores that I have built recently were one 444 Marlin AK, and one 375/444 AK.

Here's a pic of 10,000 Starline cases that I had to buy personally, to get the SOCOM off the ground.

Second pic is the only suppressed Tromix .458 SOCOM I ever made.

Don't know about a .50 AK, but you could ask.

By the way, the SIG 556 conversion is done: http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=498477&highlight=.458+sig

He's a member here so you can PM him.

I guess the ultimate bliss-ninny-panty-twister would be an AK pistol in .50 beowulf! with a hundred round drum magazine and bayonet!

The problem with such assault weapons is that they go out on the streets and get into trouble. Now me, I would adopt one, take it home and keep it safe and secure, and take it out once or twice a month to a proper range for supervised recreation.

Seriously, though, I read a cry of alarm that .50 caliber rifles were available on the Internet for $29.95!! !!! !!!! And of course they would be out on the street wrecking mayhem. I believe that was when Walmart was disposing of surplus $69.95 msrp .50 cal CVA Bobcat muzzeloaders at the end of blackpowder season (at a loss). The antis wanted us to believe airliners would be falling out of the sky shot down with the dread $29.95 .50 cal sniper rifle.
