9mm....cheaper and more rounds per mag.
I don't see the point of the 40 since you have a 45.
In the end, buy what you want to and have fun shooting!

God forbid a BG breaks in my house and all I have is a 9mm.I guess when I shoot the poor bastard in the chest and head I'll just point him to all the 40 cal data that says it could have been worse for him.I have both a 9 and 45 and feel perfectly safe with either caliber.
