My first question is: is impactguns a good site to buy from in terms of prices and customer service?

Secondly:
Some of the prices confise me.

Heres a WASR-10 with one 30 Rd. mag, sling, cleaning kit, and fixed stock. No military features.

$365

Now heres another WASR-10 thats I think is the same, but it comes with one 5 rd mag and one 10 rd mag instead of the 30 rd.

$220

Whats up with that?

I would bet you $1 the cheaper one only accepts single stack magazines and the more expensive one accepts standard AK magazines.

I'm Searching THR and not finding much info on the legality/feasability of converting the single stacks.

I believe it can be done if you up the US parts-count. Links?

For $220, I might be willing to spend some time with Mr Dremel...

I dont know about the web sit. but I frequent the store in utah all the time. I buy most of my guns through them. They have given me the best servise of all the guns stores here and there prices are good.

Impact guarantees low prices (there is a bit of fine print that goes with that,) and their gunsmith is as good as good as I have seen. For internet business they are great.

However, their in-store service makes me cringe. They seem to have two kinds of employees. Old people who are more interested in opinion than fact, and young people who don't know anything at all about what they are doing. Buy from them, just don't ask them for advice.

I just saw both these at big-chain-sporting-goods for $300 and $200

Don't be coy, man, dish it out! What chain store?

Is it Academy? Say it's Academy and I'll drop by today!

Cabelas? Gander Mountain? Footlocker???

Thanks for any tips,

Not to derail your post here, but I was under the impression that impact guns was wholesale only unless it was a sale to a department or agency?

Negative, I know a guy who orders from them straight off the Internet regularly to his local FFL. Then the FFL calls him and lets him know to come in and give them $20.

can anyone confirm this Dremel work? Im willing to do it and have a Dremel. Do i just make the mag well wider?

They are a retail store with an indoor range, rental weapons, and they sell the same inventory for mostly the same prices on a website, operated in the same building on 1900 W Ogden/Roy UT out in the industrial park.

I can't tell you anything about the strip club next door. Honest.

why does it seem like almost everything I click on shows "out of stock" on thier site?

I mean I can understand some out of stocks but come on :banghead:

I would bet you $1 the cheaper one only accepts single stack magazines and the more expensive one accepts standard AK magazines.

I thought that all magazines are the same....except the capacity of it...

Explain why the single stack magazines and the more expensive one eccepts standard AK magzined.

i might be wrong :)
