Ammo Shortage Is It Real ??

I can load for everything I shoot but 22 rimfire. There is a fair amount of metallic ammo showing up in central Illinoisistan, but prices are not nesrly as realistic as a few years ago. Not anything related to shotgun sports in general and powder and primers are scarce and way high when available. What shot shells that are showing up are strange foreign brands with light shot charges and high velocities. So, my opinion is, maybe there isn't a shortage per se, but there is a real crunch in real time ammo variety and availability. We do have one retailer who has good stocks of trap loads and did help us out a bit for our high school team.

Its kinda strange, but i can get here (Czechia) only Barnaul (which is imported from Russia) or premium.223 and 7,62x39, while 5,45x39 is currently cheapest rifle ammo (surplus).
Price of 9mm is very close to 5,45x39 and its quite often out of stock

Also, I get emails from the big sellers online almost every day. Buds, Sgammo, TargetSports with subjects "new truckloads of ammo arrived today." OpticsPlanet just sent an email for 7% off everything including ammo.

It is not just ammo. Regular gasoline was $1.79 a gallon here two years ago. Monday it was $4.20. The fuel price increase is purely political. Part of the cost of ammo is too because of inflation caused by the same bunch of idiots.
$4.75 in Peoria today

I know what you mean, still have the ‘86 CR250R ATC, Only new thing I ever had that wasn’t a daily driver. Kind of wish I still had the ‘69 Camaro I had though, they have gone up a lot more in value.

I have an old Tecate 250 trike too
