There are some magic spells that work on Colt style revolvers. Some people report success by putting a steel washer against the recoil shield. I haven't heard how long they last tho. I think Goon has done it. Maybe Jackrabbit has too.

I have not, although I do have a brass frame Remmie with a ridiculous 12 inch barrel that I can experiment on.

I don't think it will work on a Remington. At least not without a lot of machining. Colts have a recoil ring that stands out from the shield. The washer evens that up
