This is what the people calling for an Article V convention don't seem to understand. The agenda would be open, and a whole new document could be proposed. And the ratification process could be new as well -- perhaps a nationwide popular vote. What are the odds that a 2nd Amendment equivalent could be included in this? Not high. Yet many 2nd Amendment proponents are calling for exactly that.

Such a convention is a total crapshoot, like any jury trial. Could win big, could lose everything. One thing's for sure, the culture war is tearing the country apart with or without a new constitutional convention, and there is basically no way to make both sides happy. Something is going to give.

Yes, a convention would open a Pandora's box. Tell that to the talk radio hosts, who keep pushing for it.
