AR or AK?

We live in a pretty remote area ... I told my wife if she ever hears someone come around the house starting a "charcoal vs propane" debate, she should stick the double-barrel AR-47 out the window and fire TWO BLASTS .... nobody's going to stick around for hot dogs after that!

I don't know if this helps but I just traded both for a 1918a2 BAR so that would be my pick. I really don't like either the ar or ak, they just don't do it for me but I'd prefer the AR over the AK and a M1 or M1a/M14 over either.

Just my two cents, I'm always in favor option number three in these senarios lol

the op's main focus, based upon his stated usage, is accuracy. no question, the ar wins in the accuracy department. we're not talking home defense, killing zombies, or dipping the rifle in mud. if he's after accuracy, the ar is the clear winner.
