I second the Astra 600. It's reliable, of Browning lineage, and though the sights are non-existent, it's still a reasonably accurate gun to shoot.

If I am ever in a position to acquire another handgun, that will be the one I try for. Had to pass on the P7 in South Africa in the late 90s because they were very expensive (compared to what I was earning)

After seeing the picture of the Daewoo, I am interested. I will look for one so I can get a better feel for it.

The Luger is on the list. The Walther P38 is a maybe. I have a P1.

My uncle has a Luger, a P38, M1 Garand and an M1 carbine. He doesn't have any kids but his wife does. He doesn't like any of them. He doesn't want them to end up with his collection, but he doesn't want to get rid of them either!?! My dad has been working on him to sell them to me to keep them in the family. We told him that I would gladly pay for them. He doesn't need the money.
