Dang Iggy, those spurs look about weared out! Gotta spit-shine them for a B-B-Q ! That second iron will fit that eaten' party pretty good though! Nice.
Only thing I've got then is a Colt .45 SAA in nickel and ivory. But I don't go to court anymore and we don't wear our guns to BBQ's around here. Least not so's they're visible.
It probably started as a Texas thing, these days its a gun forum thing, a chance to show off your nicest handguns in hand tooled western leather to your virtual friends and neighbors.
That Ruger would sure nuff git you some ribs at about any BBQ I reckon.

Those was my Dad's spurs. He bought them from a cowhand on the ranch for $50.00 back in the 40's. The belt buckle come from a belt my Mom gave him on a birthday back in the 40's when I was just a pup. It was one of his prize possessions and he wore it everyday and plumb wore it out. So yeh, they don't shine much now, but I can remember when they did, and that's even better.
We wear our guns to barbeques here in order to exclude undesirables, like liberal gun haters. Works very well as a repellant. The shooting usually precedes the drinking.
looks like the leather is as important as the gun.very nice leather in these posts.if i had a bbq gun id be tempted to carry it unloaded at a bbq.people will want to look at it and i dont hand a loaded gun to anyone except close family or very close friends.
BBQ guns lol - You guys must get bored down in Texas lol - All kidding aside, there are some real nice firearms posted in this thread. I would not try to crash any of you all's BBQ's.
