Best gun never made

I really want a Sig revolver.

I would also have been interested what HK would have done with a 1911.

HK P2000 .45

None of that P30, P3000, HK 45 stuff. The P2000 frame is excellent, heck even make it single stack, that'd be cool too.

A big +1. I sold my all my USP pistols after getting the P2000. I just never shot them anymore.

The P2000 frame would make for an excellent single-stack .45 ACP, though HK would probably have to lengthen the barrel slightly.

One wish

How about a state of the art modular weapon system Bullpup (not in 5.56) based on the best features of past and current designs use the AK gas piston sytem with FAL type gas adjustment, different trigger control groups one a match set trigger one select fire one semi auto only, H & K fluted chamber with interchangable barrels a short feather weight a medium general purpose and long match grade in calibers such as .280 7mm mag rimmless or 6.5 Swede.
Use a 1913 picatinny full length rail and YHM flip up front and rear sights with replaceable tritium elements a folding grip pod surefire light combo, interchangable butt plate inserts for different lengths of pull, reversible ambidextrious (sp) controls. All titanium steel stainless steel and polymer.
What would you build if you win the lottery?:neener:

i always thought a s&w model 27 heavy barrel might be kinda nice.... they'd use a 4" barrel blank for the model 29 and bore it to .357 instead of .429... as for my all time favorite gun that wasn't it's got to be ole painless the minigun on the first predator movie..................

My thread lives on!!! Man, you guys have thought of some cool stuff. One thing that caught my eye was the idea for a Ruger carbine in .30 carbine. Why don't they make that? They make a six-shooter in that caliber, and the mini is more or less a copy of the M1 .30 carbine, so it sort of makes sense to me that they would have it. Maybe there is some sort of legal reason?

I'll echo the previous HK p7m7 comments, and possibly a P7 psp with a polymer frame. I'd also like Dan Wesson to start making the C-Bob with a lightweight frame.

M41A Pulse Rifle from the movie Aliens
"The M41A Pulse Rifle is the standard issue for all United States Colonial Marines. It fires a 10mm Explosive Tipped Caseless Light Armour Piercing round. The M41 uses electronic pulse action to fire, controlled directly from the trigger. The internal mechanism, including the rotating breech, is mounted on free-floating rails within a carbon-fiber jacket. This assembly is recoil dampened to reduce the effects of muzzle climb during burst and full automatic fire. From the thumb selector, the weapon can be set to selective, four-round burst, or full automatic fire, the latter allowing a rate of fire up to the weapon's cyclic rate of 900 rpm"

Smartgun (also from Aliens)
"The M-56 Smart Gun fills the Squad Automatic role in a USCM section. A Smart Gun needs special training to use and is only issued to such "Smart Gunners". The length of the weapon is 122 cm, with a straight rear firing grip and a fore firing grip. In addition, a cocking handle is mounted on the right side of the gun, for manual cocking once a new ammo drum has been attached (reliability drops to UR on the first trigger pull if the weapon is left to cock automatically).
The gun is mounted on a servo-assisted gyro-stabilisation arm attached to an armoured torso harness. The weapon has an inbuilt smart-targeting system, consisting of a targeting processor in the harness, infrared sensors in the headset and above the barrel of the gun, and the gyro-balancing servo arm. When a target is designated through the headest and barrel sensors, the servo arm immediately moving the gun to track the target. Changing targets is done simply by directing the gun toward a new target. The electronicpulse action allows great control over the rate of fire of the weapon, which is controlled by a toggle switch on the fore grip. It can fire a four-round burst (3-round burst r) and has a full-auto fire mode of 60 rounds."

UA 571-C Remote Automated Sentry System
"The UA 571-C Robot Sentry is an automated point defence system. It consists of a 7.62 mm machinegun mounted in an automated servo system with IR, motion and ambient light sensors for target acquisition. The entire package is armoured (SP 20, SDP 30) and mounted on a sturdy tripod (Leg SP 20, SDP 15). The weapon cannot be detached from its base or used by hand. Each weapon comes with a control terminal microwave-linked to its Sentry gun (can be placed up to 1000 metres away from the Sentry(which can be extended) .The system is sophisticated and can be set to search based on a target's visual and/or thermal profile or'auto-remote', using the system's built in IFF transponder and stutter-chipping, allowing it to avoid firing on a target wearing a personal data transmitter or M10 helmet IFF transponder with the right IFF code (this may be deactivated at the operator's command). Because the UA 571-C lacks a human's judgement, clearance of the ranking officer is required by law (although not needed) to use the system."

great thread TimboKhan . . . . .

What I had in mind for the Ruger .30 cal carbine was sort of like the .44 mag carbine they made for a while only in the smaller caliber. Rotary mag set up like the 10/22 ought to be doable IMO. Sign me up! I'll take 2!

1) Browning Hi-Power chambered in 45 ACP and 10 mm.
2) *New* Ruger handguns without a manual printed on the gun, no locks, and no loaded chamber indicators.
3) Ditto for S&W weapons.
4) FAL and M1A with chambers made for 308 Winchester (which is available) and not 7.62x51mm.
5) 41 Magnum Desert Eagle...okay...maybe not. But, a decent semi-auto in 357 Magnum or 41 Magnum (Coonan already did this in 357...but was it reliable?)
6) 44 Magnum seven shooter
7) M1 Carbine in 10mm, 243, 7.62x39 (not Ruger)

How about a .357 magnum Glock? Probably even a .357 magnum luger pistol?

I would like a gun similar the the subcompact Kahr's , like a PM40, but with a longer grip (front to back) to accomodate a 10mm. That would be nice: A single stack, subcompact or similar size, 10mm

The thread lives still.

I second the top break revival- a stainless Webley-Green, and the little mk. III 38.

And a few more, rarities but ones that were made- Mars, Schwarzlose blow forward (in .380 not 7.65), Schwarzlose Standart, Borchardt, and Dickson side-by-side-by-side shotgun.

Stainless Remington 51, with a smaller grip and DA lockwork.

Walther MP (the giant PP) in .45.

Sort of handgun- MP5 in .45.

And I know it's handguns, but for long guns-
Stainless bullpups in .308, 7.62x39, and 12 gauge RIFLED.

Urbana John .. maybe you shoulda kept that Coonan. From Dan Coonan's website.

What is my Coonan .357 worth?

Many of you have asked us what is a fair market price for a Model A or B Coonan .357 magnum with one magazine.
One of the most important things to consider is that they are on they way of becoming of a collectors item. This is due to the fact that they are no longer in production. Another factor is most Coonan owners won't sell there Coonan, this brings the handgun value up.

.357 Model B "New in the Box - never fired" $1,295.00 - $1,495.00
.357 Model A "New in the Box - never fired" $1,295.00 - $1,495.00
Used Model B Excellent Shape - $800.00 - $1,000.00
Used Model A Excellent Shape - $800.00 - $1,000.00

Cadets:
"We have seen Cadets go for as much as $1,295.00 used, and as low as $700.00."

Pricing really can vary due to supply and demand. Lets face it, there really isn't anything else like it out there unless you want to lug a five pound Desert Eagle or a beefy LA Grizzly around.

Back again!!!

How about an AR-7 in centerfire pistol cartridges?

9mm, .40, .45, 10mm, .357sig, 9x25Dillon....... :D

EDIT: If you made it take 1911 mags think of all the caliber conversions you could do with nothing but bolts and the screw on barrels?
