I ordered a pair of "LEO/GOV ONLY" new, factory Glock 21 mags a few days ago from CDNN. What they don't tell you is that they are 14 years old and don't function in all the newer Glock 21s or 21SFs. The only mention is on the package the mag comes in itself, but it's pretty clear when you can't seat the mag no matter what, hahaha.

I contacted them about it via email requesting a return authorization and stating that if I'm charged the 15% "restocking" fee I will be taking my refund, and my money elsewhere now and in the future. We will see how it goes.

well ya, the marked mags are from the ban era.

and ya, older mags might not work in your newer gun

i dont see this as cdnn's problem. nor is it necessarily your fault.

just a big CF

I don't view it as my fault at all, nor do I view it as CDNN being a "bad" internet gun supply shop.

It's worth mentioning that some marked mags are still made today and some are only 4 years old.

I think if a product that is used in conjunction with another product is to be sold, the seller owes it to the buyer to make it as detailed a description as possible.

A good example would be car parts. Many parts are "nearly" identical for a generation of car, but slight changes from year to year happen. If such a change relegates a part to a more specific car then implied, it needs to be communicated to the seller or you will have a returns dept as big as your shipping dept.

The 21 SF must use the newer 4th generation Glock magazine. I have plenty of the LEO/GOV ONLY mags for my Glocks in 9mm, 10mm, and .45ACP. There is no reason they should not work just fine, Never had a problem.

If you have the 21SF it has an ambi mag release and that is the only reason the mags will not work. Other than that all glock mags will interchange regardless of age.

I would not bother returning for such a small amount of money. You should have no trouble selling the mags to someone and do better than paying for return shipping + restocking fee. I have heard that some people have used a dremmel to cut another notch on the other side of the magazines to make them work on the 21SF.

The folks at CDNN emailed me back saying I may return them sans restocking fee. I will be exchanging them for something else and getting some 21 mags elsewhere. I can ship them back for about $5 USPS flat rate.
