Bill Of Sale On Firearms

The only things I keep bills of sale or receipts for are things that have a warranty left on them. For other stuff they might or might not be around someplace since I'm a packrat. Ain't nobody's business who I bought anything from or what I paid for it, especially the government and/or its representatives/agents.

I just keep those receipts together in a folder in a file cabinet.. then I have separate digital documents with make\model\and serial numbers.

I recently started keeping tabs off factory ammo boxes stored in the same so I can roughly keep track of ammo usage too (I've never reloaded).

I curretly have somewhere in the low 70's firearms, and don't have a single bill of sale that I know of. What in the heck do you need one for? I've got pics and serial numbers of them all on a flash drive and the hard disk in case of loss.

im with browningguy , in numbers[or more] and only a few bits of paper , some i inherited , some were given to me , and some i traded/bought directly from another collector , those i purchased from dealers - i might have , but im fully documented digitaly and backed up ,

i also keep a small diary of my peices with a current "value" and the accoutraments ive accumulated along the way to go with them , ive only got a 'few' high buck peices and many very common ones - but my heirs will know whats there and aproximately what they are worth
