OH
HOLY MOSES IN A ROWBOAT.

I had heard Bill O'Reilly had made a significant change toward he 2nd but I was not aware just how far he went. I was watching him just now concerning the gun bad in CA (with a libral elite, of course). His change after Katrina apparently was major. He had stated that EVERY home should have a gun! WOW. I never would have guessed he would have gone all the way.:)

In the end, he let the banner the last word and he edged in at the end, "get a rifle." to her. HAHAHAHA.

I don't always agree w/ him, but I listen to his radio show everyday (can't see the TV show, since we don't have fox news).

Yeah I saw that tonite, it was great. I usually find Bill O'Reilly really annoying but he kicked ass tonite.

The very last thing he said before the show ended: "Get a rifle". :D

Was in the process of reloading some 30-06 during that segment and laughed my ass off at the closing remark about getting a rifle.

That woman is definitely a sheeple.

Now if only we could use his alternitive of the death penalty I wouldn't mind gettin 'rid of it, (it involved a hard labor camp in AK, no TV, Computers, or sex with other inmates, (seriosly, he did mention the last one))

I saw the trail end of the segment. Very interesting, I always thought O'Rielly was anti-gun, I quess he realized many of his viewers are not and thought it would be wise to play up to us for ratings. I have heard that his show is falling in the ratings, anyone know if this is true?

I generally don't tune O'Reilly in much anymore, but caught the replay after seeing this thread. That woman was an idiot. And she was President of the SF Board of Supervisors?

He got her good on a few points:

-- Her saying how she grew up in the Mayor's (her father's?) home surrounded by his security forces and guns. Bill replying that it was nice she had the protection that she wants taken away from others.

-- Calling her on the quality of SF schools regarding kids not knowing about the war in Iraq (talking about the military recruiter ban)

-- Calling her on her stupid statement that you don't need guns to protect yourself from armed looters, that arresting them will take care of the problem (he replied with something along the lines of, "yeah, after they put a bullet in your head, lotta good it does you."

Yep you don't need a gun. You just need to wait 2 weeks for the National Guard to come in and another week for the phone company to fix the lines. Then your relatives can dial 911 and hopefully enough AWOL police officers have come back into town so they can file a report and look at your bloated waterlogged corpse in the morgue. Looks like you've been raped and then strangled during the month of anarchy. Case solved, off to the donut shop.

O'Reilley wasn't anti-gun, he was pretty centrist, which is to say guns for hunting, and maybe PC guns for defense, but no one needs an AK-47.

What I'm hoping is that Katrina and other events help people return the centrist position to where it belongs, which is "Why NOT and ak-47?"

Ak 47

I completely agree. Nobody NEEDS an AK-47...except maybe a member of a fire team(Actually, an M1 Garand will do just as well.)...but need doesn't have anything to do with it. The question is..."If we want one, why should we not be allowed to have it"? Who do the antis and their political minions
think they are to tell Americans what they need and don't need? I like to watch O'Reilly...but he really should stop pandering to both sides on this question. 2A doesn't say that we have the right to bear sporting goods.

Maybe somebody should point out to Bill that ALL rifles are "assault weapons" by design and intent. In 1863, it was the rifled musket. In 1873 it was the trapdoor Springfield. in 1918 it was the Mauser and the '03 Springfield.
They're all weapons that are used primarily to attack an antagonist at a distance beyond defensive range.

he went crazy didn't he?
All he could think of was San Francisco after an earthquake. He was almost begging her to get a gun.
I wonder if Bill ever got his as he claimed he was going to do after Katrina.
I was watching the show and all I could think was " you tell her Bill". He really did have her welfare in his mind.

AFS

I have ZERO respect for Bill. He changes his tune for his benefit only. Screw him!!

I dunno--it's pretty hard to understand how anyone could see what happened within minutes of the disaster in LA to not recognize how important individual gun ownership is.

As for need, I need my AK as much as I need my pants--think about that one. :)

Amen!!
My wife was against "guns in the home" -- then Katrina -- she's a smart woman that is willing to change when confronted with the facts -- we are now armed (her suggestion)!!!

Didn't see the TV show, but yesterday he was very specific -- you can have a gun for self defense, BUT ONLY IN YOUR OWN HOME. :barf:

Futhermore, his absolute ignorance about gun laws is stunning.

He can stay off my side, thank you.

O'Reilly has a .44 caliber mouth and a .22 caliber mind.

I have never seen a guy start more arguements being as ignorant as he is about a subject.

His idiocy was front and center last night in his segment with Ben Stein and the other economist about Oil Companies.

just saw that myself...congrats.

now those poor bastards in san francisco...any more info on this "election" ?

Chad

Poor bastards? They voted for this, it's voluntarily. Screw them, and that's as High Road a way as I can think to put it considering that this is 100% self inflicted. What else can you do?

We can put some of our Punk ne'er do wells on a bus to SF... They deserve a "gun free" workplace...

Solves our problems and give the SF'rs their just desserts.

Wonder who will be the city crowned as the "murder capital" in a couple years. (oh, I forgot, SF is too expensive for the riff raff)...
