She's from Mississippi, just like my Mom. I betcha she's been carryin', legally or otherwise, since she was big enough to hang on through the recoil.

Isn't Faith Hill from Mississippi? Oh baby I can picture her with a gun in her hands :D

I have not listened to O'Reilly in the last couple of days other than catching some short guest spots in the TV show. Zero on the radio show. I would love to know what the FACTS are with him relative to his feelings on the right to bear arms... (current and past feelings) This forum just creates more confusion. Lets get the story straight. I'm all ears!

Of all the popular news or talk show hosts, I have found O'Reilly a man with convictions. I have not aggreed always with his views, but I admire a man who is willing to voice his opinions publically. He also seems to be a man that is willing to change his views when presented facts.

The problem with the New Orleans GUN thing now is I don't know what the facts are any more. Confiscuation? What situations? When only carrying? When? America?

I used to love Hannity, but frankly he has turned into such a Republican mouth piece that I don't listen to him any more and I'm a conservative republican. It boils down to if the republicans did it, then it is great which I can not support in a blanket sense. It started with his "You're a great American" garbage over and over again and I just got sick of it.

Bill lives on Long Island in Nassau county.
You know all he has to do is go to the LEO and he's got a permit. He's Bill O.
But, he can't carry in NYC.
Too bad Bill. Take it up with Bloomberg. Idiot Mayor.

Has Bill seen the light? Time will tell. Has he raved about LEO's grabbing guns in NO?

In the past week 3 of the 4 have called to find out what kind of gun to buy and 2 of them have already purchased 870s. "Did you ever think that in America that citizens would be left on their own to fend for themselves against criminals, with no police to protect them?"

I hear that. In the last couple weeks, I've seen two things flying from the shelves around here: Gas cans and guns. Each time I've been to Wal-mart or Dick's Sporting Goods the past week or so, there has been at least one person at the counter purchasing a firearm.

As awful as the hurricane's effects have been, gun rights have been served by it. Even moreso than by 9/11. Folks turned on the news and witnessed real, live examples of why decent citizens must be armed and ready.
