Bombard the news media on pro-AWB Congresscritter Carolyn McCarthy abuse

Guys, start bombarding CNN, MSNBC, FOX, etc., telling them to look at Carolyn McCarthy's web page, and how you're OUTRAGED that she's inflating the number of victims of the Utah mall shooting - in fact, she is probably _disappointed_ that there weren't more.

Spin it. And spin it HARD. Make it into news.

In Philadelphia, a gunman opened fire on his colleagues using an AK-47 assault rifle he legally purchased. These dangerous weapons, which are intended to hit multiple targets in a short period of time, were allowed back on our streets when the federal ban on assault weapons expired in 2004. The deaths in Philadelphia could have been prevented if Congress had done its job of protecting the homeland and renewed the assault weapons ban.

I have again introduced legislation to permanently ban assault weapons. These weapons have no practical use. They are not used by hunters for sport or by individuals for self-defense. They are intended to kill as many individuals as possible in a short amount of time and have no place on our streets. The unfortunate situation in Philadelphia could have been avoided if Congress stood up to the gun lobby in 2004.

Looks like New York Rep. Carolyn McCarthy is disappointed that there weren't more victims in the Utah mall shooting - she's got on her web site that "a young man opened fire in a crowded mall, killing more than 10 individuals." He killed five, wounded four, and was shot himself. Pretty darn sad, using human pain and suffering to push her political agenda.

18 y.o. mulsim = not mentally stable? Is that what we're calling it now?

Was there a record of his instability?

Had he been "adjudicated mentally deficient" in the past?

How would NICS help?

Congresswoman Carolyn McCarthy of NY is exploiting the deaths of innocent people in recent shootings in PA and UT. She claims on her website that 10 people were killed in the UT shooting. 5 people were killed in this tragedy. I think I speak for the gun owners of America when I say that congresswoman McCarthy's exploitation and outright lying about recent tragedies to promote an assault weapons ban will not be tolerated!

Is 18 the legal age to purchase firearms in UT? She's claiming this:
It is vital that the background check records are current and comprehensive. I have introduced HR 297, the NICS Improvement Act that would strengthen the National Instant Criminal Background Check System. These records let gun dealers know when an individual should not be allowed to purchase a firearm. Improving the quality of these records will keep guns out of the wrong hands and make our country safer.

Focus on the MAJOR point. Let's not fragment.

She is using the deaths of innocent people, and possibly counting the shooter as a... well... two victims.

FOCUS, and hit them hard. How many views has this thread had? If we get a few hundred writing to major news carriers, this might be news - with a few thousand, it _will_ be news.
 
Guys. DO NOT FRAGMENT. The news media doesn't care if it was an AK-47, an AK-74, a Krink, whatever. And that is not the news point. If the media gets a bunch of e-mails saying "It wasn't an AK-47 - it was just something that looked just like one" they WILL tune it out.

FOCUS.

The news point is that she is using the deaths of innocents to further her political career.

Now e-mail someone at some media outlet. I've got a few so far. How about you? If we get a thousand notes into a few outlets, we can get this noticed.
 
Yes. I did. And I'm looking for other national e-mails too.

Now, I know this may be kinda hard for a lot of y'all, because my girlfriend's 7 year old with ADHD is able to focus better on a situation at hand than the adults in the firearms community. But give it a shot. This is NOT about whether it was legal for the guy to buy a boomstick. It is NOT about what kinda boomstick was used. It isn't about how you will personally take something to the supreme court. FOCUS!

It is about McCarthy flat out fabricating stuff, and probably hoping that more people get killed, to further her political ambitions.

Now e-mail someone. If enough people do, and do so coherently, we can make a difference.

I have just come across some interesting news. Congresswoman Carolyn McCarthy of 4th district in New York is fabricating and flat out lying about facts around a woefully tragic shooting incident to gain attention for herself. She has posted this fallacy as of Tuesday February 13th on her website carolynmccarthy.house.gov.

Unfortunately there were only four victims killed, and a few others hospitalized. Thankfully there were NOT 10 killed as she states.

It is sad Congresswoman feels she needs to inflate a death count by more than two fold to suit her agenda or justify her work.
