I won a Beretta Jetfire in an auction today. Who makes the best and most powerful .25ACP ammo? I know that sounds funny since .25ACP is so weak, but who makes a decent load? And does anybody have a cheap source for magazines?

I think Gold dot is has a hot 25 only 32gr if I remember . Mags you just need to look I had a Beretta 25 back in early 80s Company wanted $15 for a mag. Was paying around $3 for 45 mags told them to keep and I sold the gun. Never owned another Beretta after that.

Thanks for the tips so far. I'll bet Fiocchi will run really nice in it and be nice and toasty. Looks like CDNN has bulk packed factory mags for $13.99. :D

Yes, Fiocchi is the way I go too. I prefer FMJ to any expanding bullet because you need penetration in such a weak cartridge. My favorite 25 gun is the CZ-45. Behind that, I'll say a close second, is the Beretta 950.

I looked at the new Fiocchi USA site and it says only 65fpe for the 50gr. load which is the only load they make. I assume that's out of a 2" barrel though where as the 950 is about 3" I believe. I did see a more powerful load at 90fpe somewhere I'll have to go and look to see what I can find. Also gonna check out the Gold Dot.

Hmm, seems like pretty much everyone is right in the 65fpe range. Main reason I bought it I guess aside from the price is that I can't seem to find any examples of small single action .32's.

I'd really LOVE a single action Tomcat. A Manurhin PPK and a stainless widebody Tomcat both loaded with Fiocchi 60gr. JHP. That would make a neat CCW package in the summer months.

I really love my Jetfire. It's very reliable and suprisingly accurate for such a tiny little gun...

I had trouble finding good ammo for it though. By good I mean good defense loads, not that the gun jammed. It hasn't jammed on me yet...

I ended up handloading for it because I didn't like any of the factory loads I found.

.25 Load Data

I use the 1.7 gr bullseye load with 35 gr Hornady XTPs. They chrnograph at an average of 975 FPS, and they expand to about .32 caliber. Still not impressive, but better than factory loads. This load produces 74 foot pounds of energy...

I got a Jetfire about two months ago too.I ran four boxes(200)of the Fiocchi thru it without a single hickup.I've since carried it in my pocket everyday as a bug.I will always prefer to go to my primary Centurian G but have total faith in my Jetfire should my G not be an option.
:D

My friend has the beretta jetfire and uses fiochi fmj in his. He had no misfires or jams in the three years hes been carrying it. Its his always gun when he cant conceal something else and has never let him down.

Just put good quality FMJ in your Jetfire. There is not a .25 ACP hollowpoint made that will ever expand effectively, so go with hardball, and aim for the eyes to penetrate.
