I can certainly see where Bud's is coming from on this. The business is their livelihood, and that of their employees too, which they obviously care about much more than most businesses do. Sadly there are some politicians who will take any opportunity to shut down FFL's any way they can to further their goal of keeping us peasants from having guns. Unfortunately, some states have more of these politicians than most others, and who have made enough restrictive laws to make FFL's rightfully very nervous.Heck, look at the antics of Bloomberg in NY, going so far as sending people to other states to set up FFL's.
As far as Bud's Gun shop service, I bought my bushmaster M4 from them in December, and it was by far the fastest and easiest gun purchase I have ever made of a non-C&R or antique gun. I simply selected my gun from the website, selected my transfer FFL's name from their list (a brilliant idea by the way.I wish all online dealers did that), gave them shipping and payment info, and viola, a couple weeks later my dealer has the rifle. The purchase at Bud's end took 5 minutes tops, and was done 100% online, in one quick session, with no mailing, faxing, emails, etc, necessary. Couldn't be happier with the transaction or the gun. Good price, great payment plan (although, offering a payment plan for guns, with payments deferred for up to a year, is pretty evil, and is akin to blowing crack smoke in an addicts face
, but the weakness is mine, and the cant be faulted for exploiting my gun addiction.
). Next time I'm in the market for a modern gun, Bud's will be the first place I check, thats for sure.
