(every new law initiates something like panic buying)
Doesn't CT still have it's own AWB on the books? That's what I was told awhile after the national AWB expired. A friend wanted to add a flash supressor to a post-ban AR-15, and the gun shop owner first told him he'd see what was available, then a day later he called up and said "Forget it."CT:
1) rather weird situation where the local PD does the work of running your background check only to make you go to the State PD to get your actual license and the State PD offices that issue the permit are few and not open when most people are off from work.
Still, given the problems that MA and CT (RI, NH and ME too probably), have, it sure is a far sight better than Illinois, NJ and CA. NY too for that matter in that a MA or CT permit is valid through the state. Once you have a permit, you can generally purchase as much as you want without having to get a purchase permit etc.
