CA: SF Bay Area Shoot (September)

It's that time again! I missed the last one so let's plan something for September on the weekend at Los Altos Rod and Gun. Maybe let's try for the 17th.

Can't make it on a Saturday. Sundays are good. One of these days, I'll actually make it to a shoot.

Yes. Usually we share. If you don't have any, don't worry. We usually have plenty of things to try. This way, we can see various things.

QBG usually brings his EBRs. I usually bring pistols and 22s, if I can make it.

I believe madkiwi will be bringing his EBR and I have a lever action .22 at least. Plus we will at least have a couple of handguns, including a .22.

I'm trying to get some friends from LiveJournal to come along too. I posted about this here including pictures from the last THR gathering I went to.

I just stumbled across this site. I didn't know there was a Los Altos range, but then I've only lived in the area for 12 years.

Do you guys just punch paper or do you use the tin can range? The tin can range looks like fun.

The Tin can range is a hoot!!! The last one I went to they filled up huge jugs of colored water and watched them explode

I think I can make either weekend. The 17th with more probability than the 24th (my wife sometimes has a surprise.)

Considering I am debating the sanity/merits of purchasing a 1919a4 myself, I vote for whatever day sned45 can make it.

BTW, CDNN Investments had ORF 1919's in .308 for $999 in this month's catalog, $9.99 shipping. Of course an M2 tripod to sit it on is another $500, but one step at a time...

Still have not "pulled the trigger".

No weekend of Sept 24. Cow Palace show is happening that weekend. And I plan to drop a chunk of change at Miwall. My vote is for the 17th.

...or rather NOT slacking enough. I'll be watching to see what everyone decides on. 17th or 18th look good here.

Wish I could bring my new toy out to play (Serbu BFG-50) ...too bad it is not cool on most ranges we like to go to as a group.

I used to live down on the end of Judah St. when I was out at Letterman in the 80’s. Does the National Parks still run the range down by Pacifica in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area? Park Rangers as range nazis.
