Car Trunk or Truck Gun?

"Storing" a loaded gun unatten{e}de[d] in a vehicle is illegal in some states, but it's irresponsible in every state.

Really? Is it irresponsible because a thief might break in find it and shoot himself accidentally or for some other reason? Because you know if someone steals my gun either when it is unattended at home or unattended in my vehicle I think that if they want to buy bullets for it they can go to Wal-mart and buy some. At least everywhere I have lived in the last 30 years.

I have a Mossberg 500 Persuader that lives behind the seat of my truck. I keep it loaded (Long Live Texas!) , because it's not an efficient club, but I don't have a round chambered.

Though I don't agree, I understand the premise, and that is one valid viewpoint. I guess a LOT of us are irresponsible under that view.

Today I had two ARs, an AK, and a Remington 1100 Tac-4 in my trunk, with a Kahr in my glove box, and a 1911 and J-frame on me.

Don't I feel like a mall ninja! :)

The long guns all had full magazines with empty chambers, and were actually only there because I haven't unloaded the car from my last range trip.

Usually I'll just have one long gun in the trunk and my carry guns on me.

I bought a cheap stack on safe for the work truck, 35 bucks at natchez. Holds one pistol w/ 3 mags. Digital &/or key lock. Safe is bolted to a steal bar under the floor.
