Ever since Obama got elected prices on AK's have been haywire. Hell WASR-10's were going for more than $600 here in Kansas City. A Yugo underfold was $819.99 at one shop!

But that was four months ago now, and I'm starting to see more realistic prices at shops and shows again. Not exactly pre-panic mind you. But WASR's are back to $449, Saiga's are starting to dip to $400, and underfolds are less than $600 again.

I just want to know what kind of prices your seeing in your area. Has anyone seen an AK run for under $400 yet or are we still in the panic season?

I've been seeing the cheaper Century Arms AKs at $389. As a former Century Arms rifle owner, that's still not cheap enough for me to try again! :D

Saiga's are $339 from atlantic arms (mention THR discount) and $349 from centerfire systems I think.

p.s. I did pick up a Saiga and I am in the process of converting it...waiting for parts!

$450 is also a common selling price i've seen for the WAH-SIR TEN lately...How much were they going for on average a year ago today?

cleetus03,

A year ago the wall at Show Me Shooters had WASR-10's for $339, after tax it came up to $370 something. Whole rifle, used were twenty dollars cheaper.

Saigas are still the best value in an AK. Everything else is just a parts kit that may or may not have been put together by dyslexic monkeys. Saigas are built in Russia at the famous Izhmash factory right next to real full auto AK74s, AN94s and a whole slew of awesome guns for the Russian military we might never see. I'd rather spend $350 on a new Saiga, another $150 converting it and still be miles ahead of any Century built Romanian rifle for just a few more dollars.

Ha!

I had my WASR 10 out today and it ran flawlessly yet again.

Over 1,000 rounds with nary a hic-cup and it is fairly accurate for an AK. You can hit the steel gongs at 300 yards with mine. :)

pre-elect was around 250-350$ AK what I saw on pictures of gunshows. I wouldnt pay more than $350 for an AK
