Shocked, when I was made by a new girl I'm dating

I carried on the first date I had with my finace. After haveing a pretty closed minded ex with guns my attitude was "from day 1 they will know I am going to carry whenever and wherever I deem appropriate!"

I have one of those in-between wifes. My wife hates guns, won't shoot mine, but believes that if you are not a criminal and you want one, you should have it. She does not like the fact that I could take over a small country with the amount I have, but when we go into the city (Philly) her first question as we walk out the door "Do you have one with you" Yep.

My wife was originally from Madison, WI, aka Kremlin West. I got my permit after we'd been hitched a couple-three years, when VA went shall-issue. She started out disapproving of my carrying, particularly in restaurants (gotta uncover when you enter an ABC establishment, in VA). The turning point was one late night when she needed to use an ATM. As she got out of the car to go to the ATM, she asked, "You've got your gun with you, right?".

As a matter of fact, the Mossberg 500 in the bedroom is theoretically "hers". I bought it when she was contemplating renting a trailer in the NJ Pine Barrens, during grad school.
