I'm just curious who has more than one gun in the same caliber. Do the poll and then by all means elaborate. Why do you have more than one in the same caliber? A surplus of money? You love all the guns so much? You love the caliber? You don't have the money, but do it anyways? And if you feel like posting your arsenal, go for it. Polls are fun, are they not?

there isnt a poll.

But yes, I have 2 guns in .22 caliber but that is the only caliber that I have multiples of.

They are both rifles. One is a Marlin model 60 and the other is a ruger 10/22.
The marlin is exactly as it came from the factory but the 10/22 is a little more outfitted (scope, sling, synthetic stock and a high cap mag)

I have 3 .357 Magnums.
Ruger GP 100 4" Barrel,blue
S&W 686P 2.5' Barrel,stainless
S&W 340PD 2" Barrel,titanium(whatever)

3 8mm Mausers
2 7.62x39 SKS
2 .44 Magnums
2 9x18 Makarov
2 .303 British
2 30.06
2 45-70
2 7.62x51 Nato

3 in 9mm: Kel-Tec P11, G19, Kahr PM9

3 in .380: 2 Kel-Tec P3ATs (1st and 2nd gen), Walther PPK/s

Could have done without the Kel-Tecs as the P3ATs are garbage and the P11 has the WORST trigger I've ever seen, but at least it's reliable enough and I have something to fall back on as a last resort.

I'm not even sure how many 22s I've got now.

  • Ruger 10/22
  • Ruger 22/45
  • H&R 929
  • Winchester 67A
  • 2x Remington 37
  • Winchester 52
  • And a few other Remington, Winchester, and Marlin 22 bolt guns.

I've also got 2 rifles in .30-06, 3 pistols in 9mm and 2 pistols in .45 ACP.

Several wildly different .22LR based guns.

Several .40 S&W (I'd never have just one carry gun without a backup to switch to).

Several 9mm (including Ruger wheelguns with the "conversion" cylinder)

Pistols and long guns in .357 Magnum

2 .22's: Ruger 10/22 and a Browning Buckmark

I also have two 7.62x54R rifles. One is the PSL(my baby), and the other is my Mosin.

I have multiple guns in these calibers because I think they're cool guns and the ammo is cheap (or was).

Oh young grasshopper, see how your collection is after another 10 years...After a while, you run out of calibers and have to repeat. (I like collecting M1911s and HK P& family of guns, they are the same calibers but are each different.)

Actually, it never hurts to have a back-up. What would happen if I only had one .45ACP gun and it broke? What would I do with all those thousands of rounds I have in .45ACP?

I have 1 .45 and 1 9mm - I'm straddling that "which is better" fence :D.

However, I'm not adverse to owning multiple guns in the same caliber and am planning on changing my stats in the not too distant future ;)

Right now I don't have any doubles, well I got two 20ga shotguns but those don't really count. I have a 10mm 1911 and a 10mm conversion barrel for my G30, so I suppose I can have two 10mm guns as well.

Yes I agree with Black majik, you should have a 'more than 5 guns in one caliber' poll choice. I have several rifles, pistols and a revolver in .22LR. I also have 3 personally owned and 2 issued firearms in 9mm. Finally, for repeat calibers, I have 2 rifles in 7.62x54R caliber.

All the best,
Glenn B

Right now I have a Yugo SKS and a Rommie AK, both 7.62x39.

I plan on getting a DS Arms FAL, which will complement my M1A.

I could easily see myself owning 4 or 5 firearms in 7.62x51 and .45 ACP, if I could find the money for them.

Sorry, I meant to write "5 or more in one caliber," but I forgot. CWL, I'm not as young a grasshopper as I used to be, but I'm young to the gun gathering hobby. My problem is I don't have as many funds as I'd like, and my wife is painfully aware of the guns we have. If she knew enough about what a caliber was and that I'm about to get another gun in 9mm, she would probably kick me in the groin even though she keeps talking about another kid.

From the poll results, it looks like when people with 3 guns in 1 caliber walk into the gun shop for another, they usually say, "Ah what the hell, just give me two."

RPK, AK-47, and SKS, all chambered in 7.62x39. I have otherwise diversified my collection somewhat. I like the round, it's rather cheap, and it gets the job done. I love the fact that I can shoot crappy ammo out of my ak and not worry about it (Golden Tiger anyone?). The SKS and RPK I haven't even shot yet.

Are you working for my wife??
I won't say how many I have, but I do have more then a few and less then I want. As a matter of fact I'm going to my favorite FFL now.
But I do have "a couple" of each in .22, .9mm, .357, .40cal, and .45acp.
Also my lever action rifle is in .357 one with a scope and one with out

Multiples in 12-Ga, .410 bore, .357 Mag, 9mm, 22LR, and .45 Colt.
Have the most in .45 Colt.
Why? Because I like .45 Colt:)
