2 Henry Levers in 22
2 Browning Buck Mark in 22
1 H&R Revolver in 22

I can shoot Super Colibris in my backyard without alarming the neighbors or earning a visit from the local LEOs.

LOL!!!! I just happened to jump on this thread, but the fact that it was 500 something to 30 something strikes me as very funny.

Anyway, I own several guns of the same caliber, and it boils down to one or all of a few simple reasons:
1. Ease of ammo purchasing
2. Different platforms, same caliber (AR, .223 varmint rifle, Mini-14)
3. Coincidence (.30-06 hunting rifle, .30-06 Springfield A3-03)
4. Gift (had one Taurus 99, got another Taurus 99 as a gift)
5. Love of caliber (Hey, I like .357 revolvers, OK?)
6. .22's are cheap and fun to shoot, therefore I own a lot of .22 rifles/handguns.

Overall, I have multiple guns with each of the following calibers: .22, .223, 7.62x39, 7.62x54, .30-06, .357Mag, 9mm, .45 ACP.

yes , 2 handguns

Glock 21SF and glock 30 in 45acp I like simplicity and shooting a BIG, classic round.

Let me see, between hubby and I we have a total of eleven .22's (ten rifles, one pistol) He has a 9mm carbine and three 9mm handguns. I have a 32-20 rifle and a 32-20 revolver (an inheritance of sorts.) Last but not least are my two 45 ACP handguns, one a S&W 1911 the other a Colt Commander.

This thread got me to thinking about all of the calibers of guns I really have. It's funny, I have such an eclectic collection from antique, WWII, up to just my fun stuff and not much crosses over in caliber. Except my .45s. Yes, there is my weakness.

Six 9mm Luger
Three .45 Auto
Two .45 Colt
Two .44 Magnum
Three .22 Long Rifle (two rifles, one revolver)
Just one of each in .22 Magnum, .357 Magnum (which can also shoot .38 Special), .380 and .30-06 (working on it;))

In a sort of subcategory, two of these guns -- both Ruger convertible single-actions -- fire different cartridges (.45 Auto/Colt, .22LR/Magnum) interchangeably.

I just bought my second 9mm about two weeks ago. I also have a couple of .22 revolvers.

I have two guns that fire .45 ACP. One is a semi auto 1911A1 that I have because I always loved the 1911s. The other is a revolver and I think it is cool to have a revolver that shoots .45 ACP.
Both are curios.

I have two of the same guns that fire the same ammo too. I have two CZ52's, two SKS (only one is complete and the other is spare parts) and four .44 cap and ball revolvers (five counting the one that has the .45 Long Colt cylinder in it right now).

I guess I could also count the 1895 Nagant because it can fire .32 S&W and I also have a .32 S&W Iver Johnson.

.22 lr. Who doesn't have more than one of these?! I have a 10/22, Colt Huntsman, Remington 582, Ruger mkII, mkIII to name a couple, and .45 have a couple of 1911's, full frame and compact... a couple of .45lc revo's. Multiple guns with same caliber is GREAT. Especially if you like the caliber and reload. Makes logistics a heck of a lot easier.
