Today's pocket carry is a 1929 Colt Pocket Positive chambered in "32 Police CTG" . Seen below with my early to mid 1960s S&W Model 30 chambered in jess plain old 32S&W Long. I'll gladly sell either one to you (or both if you insisted and paid all the shipping and transfer fees) for less than that 4K figure.Your posts on that gun is part of what got me thinking about my dream gun again. I’m a huge fan of 32 long but I can’t drop 4k to scratch the itch. I will end up building one off of an old model 10 if I ever get around to it.
The colt has the tighter lockup of the two and a 2.5" barrel. I also quite often carry two longer barreled versions, my S&W Hand Ejector and another Pocket Positive but with the 3.5" barrel.
32S&W Long is really an underappreciated cartridge that has similar penetration to the 38S&W Special and is softer shooting and more accurate. Plus you get six rounds rather than just five and much easier blind reloads using speed loaders.
