I agree. The correct form of the word is "you're."

Nice, but the period should be outside the quotation marks at the end.

I carry:

Glock 26 or Ruger LCP (depending on what I'm wearing and what I'll be doing)
Leatherman Skeletool
Pen-size LED Flashlight
Small maglite on my keychain
Two sets of keys on different chains, in case I lock myself out of house or car
Wallet
Cell Phone

Taurus gen 3 PT111 IWB 12+1 with a 17 round mag as backup in my back pocket next to my wallet. Kershaw skyline blade and HTC EVO 4G phone

Lately I've been carrying my XD45, loaded with 185g +P Remington Golden Sabers...

Think you mean John Malkovich. :neener:
That's another good one. I was thinking of John Lithgow as Dr. Emilio Lizardo/Lord John Whorfin the Red Lectroid leader in one of the Buckaroo Banzai films. I didn't even think of the movie Red.

Pocket knife, Kel-tec PF9 loaded with 147 grain Hornady XTP over 3.6 grains of Titegroup, cellphone, and chapstick. In the truck, it's a ruger 10/22 and a brick of ammo.

My year 'round EDC is Glock 17 loaded with 147 gr XTPs, a spare magazine of 124 gr M882 carried "off-side", and a SpyderCo "Police" with a plain edge.

Sorry, but he is correct and you are incorrect unless you are speaking of UK or Canadian English. The quotation mark is properly after, not before, the period.
Well, after a quick check it seems you are correct, and have noted one of American English's inconsistencies. It it had been a question mark or exclamation point it would have gone outside, but periods (usually) go inside for some reason.

You may be right, but according to many experts (try to sling a dead cat and not hit an expert, right?), those heavy rounds are a bad idea. Slowing the bullet is detrimental to its effect. Look at the AR15/M16. The thing that makes the 55 or 62 grain bullet so effective is the velocity. 3,000 fps with a 55 gr does a lot of damage. Slow it down and not so much.

The standard bullet is usually the best for a given round. 115 for 9mm. 230 for .45. Etc.

If I still need ammo after shooting 14 rounds of 230gr hollowpoints in the XDM45 (one mag+ 1rd in the chamber), I'm probably in a situation where my best asset is my life insurance.

It's kind of hard to conceal an AR15 so I'll stick with my Glock 17. As for the weight of the rounds, the actual standard for the 9mm is the 124 gr, not the 115 gr.

After doing considerable testing (shooting through four layers of denim) using the Schwartz bullet penetration model found in the book in my signature line, I am satisfied with the 147 gr. XTPs and will continue to carry them.

There are other reasons for carrying spare magazines/ammo.

If I experience a malfunction, I may need to do a reload and that requires another magazine full of ammo. If I still need ammo after I've fired the first 14 rounds, I'll still have 21 rounds left after that since I have no plans to give up after the first 14 rounds have gone down range.

Ultimately, I'd rather have too much ammo than not enough. No one has ever died as a result of having too much ammo. The same cannot be said for not having enough ammo.

Keeping the spare mag, too.

EDC: Ruger KLCR .357mag, loaded with either Speer GD 125gr .357mag or Speer GD 135gr .38spl+P Short Barrel, a Ken Onion "Leek" model folder clipped on pocket, a spare speed strip with said ammo, Original Wilderness Trainer Belt, and a good deal of SA.

Depends on a few things but I have a several guns I like to work through the rotation.

SIG P238
KelTec P3AT
S&W Model 638

Glock 30SF and. Beretta Nano. Nano rides in my pocket a Blackhawk pocket holster. I also carry an EDC bag. I use the Maxpedition Noatac bag. I carry standard stuff like a multitool, knife, flash light, first aid etc.

Beretta Nano, ordered and waiting for the new Crossbreed Appendix Carry holster they just released a few days ago, very excited. Normally loaded with 115gr Hornady Critical Defense or 124gr Speer Gold Dots, just switched to 124gr XTP hollowpoints put out by a new company called HPR out of Arizona. The local Sportsman's Warehouse just started carrying them, high quality and a few bucks more than Speer or Hornady but you get a box of 50 instead of 25.

Generally, I don't leave the house without my Keltec P32, my Kershaw Skyline (this month:rolleyes:) and my iPhone 4S. Sometimes I carry my Glock 19.
