A year and a half ago, my Glock did go away - someone wanted to trade me a 1977 Honda Goldwing for it and I said yes. Of course, this was only because I already had a Springfield XD to take its place.

Just this past month I replaced my Glock with an XD. I love Glocks, but my gen 4 was biting me, so I got an XD. Honestly dude, so far it fits me like a glove. Long term we will see how it pans out, but to this point I am a complete XD convert.

Hey man, it goes bang just like a Glock, and I'd bet just as often. It just fits me so weird though. I'm sure I could get used to it if I had to, but I've never put more than 10 rounds through one.

Ruger SRxx - Rugers are well made, good company, have faith that they will stay together
S&W M&P - Close competitor to Glock
Ruger SR1911 - Just impresses me as a good 1911 that would not need too much work to keep it going
FN 5.7 - Interesting gun, would like to investigate more
EIA Witness - Feels good, nice full size but still easy for short fingers
CZ 75B - reviews are good, but so heavy and large. Looks like it would be a pain to work on
Tarus PT92 or Baretta 92 maybe
Another Ruger P95 maybe

Guns not on my list:
Springfield XD - do not like the gun or way it is advertised
