For the past week, what was it?

The few times I've carried this week (this week, I've mostly left the house to and from work, I'm a teacher and can't carry or even have it in the car at work), it was my S&W 442 and it is currently loaded with some old Speer Gold Dots (I don't remember the weight, it was before the 135gr .38+P, probably 125gr but I'm not sure). I do need to shoot that and my other stray rounds up and switch it to the 110gr standard .38spl Hornady Critical Defense I prefer in that gun and the 856UL, or the 120gr Federal Punch (+P) I prefer in just about all my other .38spl and .357mag defensive guns.

I have been using the 38 special 110 +p Critical Defense. I like the testing videos on YouTube and the Lucky Gunner results.

Thanks for helping your kids!

I've used them before, it is just when I cleaned my 442 after its last range trip, the first rounds I found for it were 5 old Gold Dots (I had an order in for a couple new boxes of defensive ammo, and the rest were already in my 856UL, 856 Defender, or one of a few 6 round speed loaders). The gel tests I've seen don't show a particularly large difference between the results of the +P and standard 110gr Critical Defense. So, for my lightweight revolvers, I'll go with the standard CD for less recoil, but I'll use the 110gr +P Critical Defense or the 120gr Federal Punch that I prefer in my heavier revolvers in my lightweight revolvers when I can't find the standard CD.

Same as always. I'm predictable and boring in this regard. I subscribe to the one gun, one load, and know both very well.

FNS 9MM with 124XTP +p. The RMR 124 MW over Hodgedon LS duplicates this load almost precisely on the cheap, so I practice ALot. I have and shoot other handguns, but they are for the range or hunting. I only carry one.

I got a great deal on a bunch of this stuff pretty cheap so I stocked up and called it a day.

WisBorn where did you find that deal at? Seems like you did pretty good if it’s half the price of critical duty

I have been paying $32 for 25 rounds plus tax for Critical Duty locally. With the shipping it was $130 for 200 rounds including shipping or $0.65 per round for the HST.
