I overheard a dealer and a potential seller talking about the history of the gun he was selling. He said it belonged to the wife of a neighbor who recently died. The recently deceased guy bought the pistol for his wife to use for self-defense, and she had asked this guy to sell it for her. The dealer said (in a good natured way), "Oh, so she decided she doesn't need a gun for self-defense now that he's dead huh?" Maybe you had to be there, but it struck me as funny.

At one of the gun shows I attended, while looking at one dealer's pistols, one fellow was looking at a NIB pistol and said it looked like it had been shot more than the factory firing. The dealer stated that he had fired a couple of boxes through it, but it was still new!

That's pretty funny.
I think quite a few of those gun show dealers "test" out guns they like for a hundred rounds or so then sell them as new for full price.
OTOH I bought a "used" G23 that I swear had never been fired. According to the store clerk the guy's wife got mad at him for buying "ANOTHER ONE" and made him sell it back after 2 weeks, haha.
