I have a G19 GEN 3 I think...Was a poly 80 build in 9MM. I was told by a dealer that the frame is the same on a 19 and a 22. The internal parts are different along with the slide and of course the barrel. That being said I was pondering a 40 /357 sig build on a 19 frame. Is that possible.

Any help or information would be great.

The frame on a Glock 19 and Glock 23 are the same. The G17 is the same as the G22. I assume but don't know for sure that the same can be said of the Poly 80 frames.

Thanks for the information. I want to build a 40 S&W / 357 SIG and wanted it to be the same size as my 9MM 19. I like the size of the 19.

19/23/32 same pistol. Mags and ejectors are different.

I'd check the slides bore for the barrel. I've built 9mm 23's, but never turned a 9mm into a .40.

I generally suggest buying a complete 23.4, but you're building off of a custom frame so....

From what I remember the breechface and the barrel holes for the 19 slide are a different size from the .40 but if you build the frame up you can toss a .40 slide/upper on it and use conversion barrels to shoot 357 or 9. The ejectors are different but I have used a 9mm ejector on a .40 gun and a .40 ejector on a 9mm and have not had any problems.

If you have a 40 slide you can put a 9mm barrel (conversion from Lone Wolf) in it. Not sure you can do it the other way around though.

Pretty sure you can do what you are looking to do but research the parts well so you get it right the first time.
