Denali, I invite you to take a look through this thread and find a single instance where I said Rugers are superior to Glocks.

And doing my research to support my claims? Let's rewind, you asked us to name a single major police department that has issued or allowed the carry of Rugers. Several posters including myself mentioned such Wisconsin state police. You then tell me I'm wrong, and tell me that instead of adopting the P85 in 1987, they adopted the P89, a firearm which did not exist at that time. I provide you with the article, the author, and the source of the quote which you ignored. You then continue to dismiss anything that disagrees with your fantasy world and tell us we're wrong. And apparently it's now outrageous for ME to ask for a source to support what you've said? Even after you admitted twice to just making up your data?

Hmm...okay:rolleyes: I think we've got enough Glock fanboys around already.

Two poster's yourself and bluebrick have posted Ruger info, as I live in the Northwest District of WI I can report with ABSOLUTE certainty that they don't carry Ruger's....The question was simple enough, what MAJOR LEA ISSUES or ALLOWS there LEO"S to CARRY Ruger's...........Not who DID!

Only current usage counts? So if a firearm is replaced does that mean it was inferior? So is a 92FS better than a 1911? Change happens for many reasons. Glock is not the best choice, but I will admit that it is a common one.

Yes and no. At the time the M-9 WAS better than the DOD surplus 1911's that were in universally poor condition, as to best choice? The Glock is such a simple design to maintain and at a pricepoint that saves the taxpayer $$$ that they become very seductive choices for LEA's and DOD.....

Back on March 27th, 2007, after much frustration, Stephen Camp made a post in the Autoloaders Forum and stickied it here. It is always wise to read such stickies when participating on an internet forum. Since some here apparently did not read this stickie, I will cut and past it here.
At THR, personal attacks and name-calling simply are not acceptable for folks wishing to remain members. Sadly, this poor behavior is being seen more and more often in this section. We can certainly disagree on topic content but we don't attack the poster personally. If someone writes, "The XYZ pistol is the best ever made in history," it's likely to draw some holding a different or even opposite view. Fine! Discuss away! It would be fine to respond, "I agree (disagree) because...." and so forth. It is not fine or acceptable to respond with something like, "Dude, you've lost your mind or what little you actually have" and so forth.

I am more than a little sick of having to regularly handle problems caused by this violation of THR's policy.

Normally, when someone is banned they get a warning.

Consider this such a warning.

Stephen was not kidding. Neither am I. If you can still PM me to object to the closing of this thread, consider yourself fortunate.
