Ok so alot of u know I was just posting about sig 226 vs 229 well I put both on layaway so I could also get a glock the question is I Want a glock 10mm anyone got pics of theirs? Also if I get the 29 and put 20 mags In it is there a extension to put on it to make it look right?

I own an early generation model G20 and it is quite possibly my favorite gun in the world, it is just a blast to shoot and is one of the most powerful autoloaders you can get your hands on.

Something about 15rds of 200gr 10mm loads in the palm of my hand makes me involuntarilly start grinning and I can't stop, your GPG(grins per gun) will go way up ill tell you that.

Buy it :) :) :) :) :) :)

Yes, there are mag sleeves for the 29 w/20 mags. I've owned both 20 & 29. I would look at a 20SF. The frame is a little smaller. My only complaint with the 20 is that the grip is kinda big, so make sure it fits your hands well. The 29 is a little snappy with recoil, not a range gun. The nice thing about the 20 is that for $100, you can drop in a 40s&w barrel and shoot 40's if you want. The 10mm mags will work. So you kinda get 2 guns in 1.

I found this 2nd gen G-20 on Gunbroker, won it for $440, it still had the copper anti-seize in it, probably 200 rounds or less shot through it. 1994 vintage (if anything from 1994 can be called vintage). It's very accurate and pleasant to shoot with my handloads. Quickly becoming my favorite auto.

I haven't gotten a G-29 ..... yet, but I do have a G-20 and it is a heck of a gun. Too large for ccw but fine for a belt holster and great to shoot. I highly recommend it.

Ok so the question is with the 40 barrel can u get it for the 29 I'd prefer have the 29 since I'll prolly shoot 50 rounds thru it in 10 then just carry it

I'd get the Glock 20. if your going to go big, that's the gun to get. The 29 is too fat for CCW on me.

But if your after a 40, then the 23,22 are a better choice, especially for CCW.

I went the 21 Glock and then bought the 400 corbon barrel and the 10 mm barrel both can be shot in the 21 where the 20 can only shoot the 10 and 40...

I feel the 10mm is very high pressure which it is, the 400C is low pressure like the 45 and has some range if you want to push them (reloading and working up your own) the 10mm is pretty well maxed out...

I also changed the springs some...They say it is not needed, but I tune them in for best all around...

The new +P in 45 acp 185 is a close one to the 10 mm right off the rack...But many will argue for life...
LOL

The 10mm in the 21 needs additional mag in 10mm but the 400 is good to go in the 45 mags...
Feeds very well...

Regards

Can't a G20 shoot 357SIG too?

My 2nd gen G20 still had that copper lubricant in it too, it came to me unfired and minty new. I was also told that I could trade my early G20 for any Glock I wanted, apparently they are something of a collector's item, from what I'm told they are pretty well sought after piece's.

I also like that my Glock coffee mug has my "early Glock 20" on it too.

BTW, the manufacture date on mine is 1995 so it wasn't manufactured during the recall period.

I also prefer the dull parkerized slide finish and the absence of finger grooves, not that I don't like the 3rd gens, I just like the classic look better, as I do with most things but I'm from the old school, whaddya want from me?

ThatGuy686, have you been watching Ted Nugent's Spirit Wild show? He is a big proponent of the 10mm Glock. Actually he is a big proponent of anything 10mm. I think that you would be better seved with the G20.

honestly, i'd rather nugent kept his trap shut, he gives gun folks a bad name. especially considering he just got caught poaching out in CA....

Gen3 G20 is one of my favorite handguns to shoot. When at the range, I get asked "what are you shoot'n?" quite often. Added a SS guide rod & heavier striker spring.
I shoot handloads and it's extremely accurate with the stock barrel or a LoneWolf aftermarket drop in.
I also have a 40/10 LW conversion barrel that works surprisingly well for low cost shooting.

Lost what little respect I did have of Ted Nugent after his illegal hunting/harvesting tactics.

Great find!

The recall (frame upgrade) was 'E' series 3rd gen pistols, so any 2nd gen should be GTG. My first G-20 was on the list, but never had a problem.

Another nice thing about the old parkerized finish is they have great grip-ability, virtually slip proof wet or dry.

'Stranglehold' is a great tune.

Just picked up a G29 SF myself! My first foray into 10mm. I am stoked to put some rounds through it (this Thursday). I think it will be a great woods gun and HD weapon. :)

^^sweet! you'll like shooting that thing. only have about 100 rounds through my g29 since i got it last week. it's really fun to shoot!

noticed the slide scrapes the trigger bar a little, not going to send it into glock. some g29's do it and some don't. does yours have the scrapes on the trigger bar? just curious. it doesn't cause any issues with mine.
