i've got my grandfather's Raven .25 Auto. it's junk, but i'll hold onto it.

I bought a Raven .25 from my grandfather for $25. It wasn't worth it even back then, but I'll never sell it, either, because it was his.

I did inherit has only other gun: a Mossberg .410 bolt action. I also inherited my other grandfather's only gun: a Stevens DBL 12 gauge with hammers.

Both shotguns were low-end guns in their day, but they are both good shooters even now, and they are valued connections to the memory of those two men.

Intelligent gun people DO NOT sell a gun that is "dangerous to shoot". They have it repaired or they have it destroyed.

Or they sell it "as is" with full disclosure of the problem.

Well I am surprised that we went almost three pages before some one pointed that little fact out. Would have done it when I read the post but I've been in trouble before for being honest on the forum.

There is not enough full disclosure out there to keep the ambulance chasing attorneys off your door step when it comes to a bad gun.

There are two types of attorneys; Those that chase ambulances, and those that defend you against the ambulances chasers. Both love you and one of them will get rich because of you and your full disclosure.

Yup, anything is indeed possible. Of course, the only way to be safe from that kind of thing is to never sell a gun at all. (Heck...or buy one. Or use one. Or...pretty much anything else.)

Allow me to clarify my post. The gun was sold to a gunsmith at a gun show, with full disclosure, and a broken firing pin.
