My first handgun when I turned 21 was a full sized USP .45 i bought used off a cop. I still own it today and will never part with it, it's the softest shooting most accurate and reliable .45 I've ever shot, and I've shot a number of different ones. One of my favorite semi-auto pistols of all time.

HK4
.32 and .22 barrels. I don't shoot it much anymore, but everytime i hold it, i'm always impressed by how it handles.

P 30 in 9mm owner

It was my first hand gun. I bought it not long before I joined up here at The High Road. I've put thousands of rounds through it sence then and not one failure. Recently I took a tactical training course, 600 rounds of 9mm and 800 of 223 ,not one problem with either weapon. We did induce some failures for training purposes.

I'm kinda surprised how much love the P7 series is getting on here.

But then again, after wringing mine out at the range today, it's not hard to see why.

I really like the P7 series. My M8 is the most reliable and accurate handgun I've ever owned. I'm sure the other HK models are very well made but I find them blocky and ugly.

I have owned the USP .40 compact and the .45 full size for a number of years and have been rather happy with both of them. No feed jams or issues of any kind with a variety of ammo and over a thousand rounds fired through each. I even left the mags loaded for over a year with no problems.

I can't speak to their customer service as I have not had a need for them. Good firearms, a bit pricy but good.

I think they are way way overpriced. I dont think they offer a reason for spending that much more

I've owned several; they're all sold now. Never could get used to the grip on any of them.

I have owned several HKs. Loved them all. I currently have a USP 45 full size. Probably my favorite handgun of all time.

I can carry it but usually keep my G30SF with me. HK is always on nightstand duty.

I currently own a USP45, USP9, HK45 and P30. They are all expensive but I consider them to be worth it. If you want a polymer hammer fired auto pistol they are the best available.

HK has excellent quality control, tests their guns extensively and they are almost without compare when it comes to combined accuracy, reliability and durability. Many other pistols from top gun makers are reliable and durable but are very generic when it comes to producing excellent accuracy. HK scores high in all three areas.

$1000 for a polymer framed HK45 seems like alot until...

50,000 rounds, 1 parts breakage, 1 stoppage, 1 malfunction and 1.39" 5 shot group with match ammo at 25 yards AFTER the pistol had been fired 50,000 rounds in 8 months. If your looking for another polymer framed pistol that could combine accuracy, reliability and durability like that...it doesn't exist.

I don't care for a gun that really offers nothing that a Glock doesn't already deliver and for hundreds of dollars less. Plus, they're too damned heavy. Heavier than I like in a hi cap pistol. I'll stick with combat Tupperware of the Austrian persuasion.;)
