Handguns & Knives

I see lots of times when people post pic's of their handguns Knives are pictured with the gun.
Are they just a prop, or these fine folks actually carry them with their gun.
I carry my Uncle Henry USA made LB7 lock back daily with my CCW. I'm not sure if people even carry lock backs this day and age,, but I've been carrying mine since 1983. Hellcat Pro on the left, LB7 on the right side.

I like pairing knives with handguns. For the last several years I’ve started a habit making a knife to go with each pistol I customize.
For example, a hunting knife out of o1 to go with my 686 44spl conversion:


A punch dagger (also o1) to go with my m&p compact kit:


I try to make the knife suitable for the same scenario I dreamed up for the gun and then they always get carried together.

I carry a knife 100% of the time, mostly a small pocket knife for simple cutting chores.

I always have a knife in my pocket. That started when I was big enough that my pants had real pockets. Pop gave us a knife and expected us to have it when he needed it. Get caught playing with it…not a good idea!

My Grandfather carried that thing around for decades after he retired, IIRC it was one of the parting gifts they gave him. He was a great man, should have been a golden parachute instead... Although, I never knew him to want for anything.

I kept it only because I knew it meant a lot to him and he means a lot to me. I'd trade the trinkets I kept for the memories, for the real thing in an instant.

He cut me a lot of peaches from the orchard with that tiny knife.

Here's another he had.

I carry two knives and a pocket gun any time that I'm wearing pants.
The knives get used on a daily basis, but I've had no cause to use a pocket gun so far...

My wife makes a game of trying to catch me without a knife, so I make sure to have one on me at all times.

This is my Knife "rotation". I pick a different one every day and I carry it even if it's only in my pajama pocket.

Today our daughter is getting all the women together out at her ranch for a Tamale making party.

SWMBO doesn't drive any more so I will be with her carrying my Glock 19, My Buck 110 LTE and my Gerber Multitool.
