HK P7: Why all the hype?

hem, I agree for the most part. I really dont like tupperware, but the Glock I finally compromised on due the price, reliabilty and that my dad's family roots go back to Austria so I figured "what the heck". That aside though, the HK P7 PSP is indeed PERFECTION, imo. It makes me giddy from draw to point in how natural the P7 locks on to target:D. Accuracy:what:

I finally got to handle one the other day. Trigger was fantastic, as well as everything else. Smooth operation all around.

However, they simply aren't for me. The slightly increased weight (all steel) was no biggie, but the deciding factor that made me put it back in the case was the fact that even though I could operate the "squeeze" correctly, I had to shift my grip to do so and shift it back to a comfortable position before the act of pulling the trigger felt anything near natural. Shifting my grip to operate a handgun is an outright deal-breaker. The price didn't help at all, either (the shop wanted $900 for one with 70% finish). :(

If it works for you, more power to you--there are guns I love that everyone else seems to dislike (including Hi-Points and Nagant revolvers). :neener:

Not profitable enough.
It is the same reason they don't produce the 1911 they had designed...they couldn't sell enough of them at the price they'd have to charge to make it practical to start production

Strange...

It seems like everybody has an opinion about everything and if you read enough you'll see them all over time.
I really like my P7. I really like my Glocks. I only bought one handgun I didn't care for so I sold it to someone who did like it. From the comments we seem to have the entire product advisory council for HK on here. Maybe some day I'll be half as smart of all you folks who don't like anything except what you own.:neener:
