From an article about gun owners fleeing the northeast:

I’m with Roi — this seems like a great thing for those of us who don’t get a secret thrill in our genitals every time we hold, stroke, caress, a gun. My view is that as long as gun owners shoot other gun owners, I have no problem with gun ownership. It’s when they start shooting those of us who don’t own guns that I object. Come after our lives, we come after your guns. That’s the deal. So, I’d be thrilled if all gun owners moved to Texas, Idaho and Florida. I give them all my word I will never mention the words “gun control” ever again as long as they agree to just shoot each other. One gun owner shooting another gun owner isn’t a tragedy, it’s natural selection.

Now replace gun owners with literally any other minority group and that goes from bad political humor to an abhorrent, hate filled rant that would cost its writer their job and social standing. :banghead:

This proves that anti gun people associate gun ownership with being a bad guy (gang banger, violent criminal, etc). It is a stigma the press slams into their heads every day with "gun violence" being sensationalized on the news. You very seldom, if ever, see a successful defense of your spouse or child on the news. I wish the NRA would march the families of people saved by using their guns in self/home defense like they do with the Sandy Hook families. One this side is families crying for gun control to save children's lives (really?) and on the other side side is the children saved by having a gun when needed. The news is slanted and people think that if you own a gun, you are a bad person. I mean, why else would you own one unless you want to shoot children or other gun owners, right?

p.s. That writer should be fired for, if nothing else, showing an irresponsible light to a sensitive issue.

Replace "gun owner" with "young inner city black male" and you've got a good description of Chicago (and several other major American cities).

This is not a joke or a racist comment; there is no punchline or racially driven animus here. This is a sad statement of fact borne out by statistics on black-on-black violent crime, and if must be said that the same flawed logic and moral dereliction exhibited by the anti-2A pundit above is clearly shared by those politicians responsible for the situation on our city streets.

Case in point: the criminal that shot Hadiya Pendleton was 19 years old and in possession of a loaded pistol, while on probation for criminal misuse of a firearm. This was not a failure of "gun control"; the laws he broke were on the books, and the local justice system declined to do anything meaningful about it when they had the chance.

So, it seems an Anti almost, in a fit of snark, accidentally told the truth. As long as it doesn't affect anyone they care about, the violence apparently really doesn't bother them.

It's a fascist site catering to fascist hate and emotion. What else can you say? There's a whole SIX comments, so readership participation is on par with what I think they deserve on that one.

Remember, the left needs hate to live. Without it, they have to face reality and not many of them seem to be interested in that.
