I Have Created a Monster: Girlfriend is Shooting up all my Ammo!

A successful relationship involves lots of sacrifices.
Given your situation, I don't see that you have a choice.
You must buy more guns and more ammunition.
How do you afford it? Sacrifice, my friend, sacrifice everything else you have.
 
I agree with 1911 guy, teach them to reload. They have to shoot their reloads.
 
Buy a muzzleloader and slow down her rate of fire. If it's handguns she wants to shoot, get a cap 'n ball revolver.
 
I want to start reloading. I don't have a very big place. My "house" right now has no room for even a small press. When I move into a bigger place, maybe I can start, but right now the best I could do is maybe a hand-held loader to make a few rifle rounds or .38 rounds just to learn on. Nothing huge right not. Not in the budget.

I need to teach her that just because the magazine holds 16 rounds doesn't mean you have to put 16 in the magazine. She's OCD about that.
 
Good story and good on ya, for teaching the ladies. I agree, don't let this one get away! I also agree about handloading and when you get comfortable with it, teach THAT to her also. Back in my younger days, we taught a bunch of women to shoot, after work, and you're right. Ladies is quite good at it!:p

I have to cook mine dinner, if I don't happen to have an appetite for some birdfood looking vegie feed.
My fat belligerent ol'lady already has a high caliber mouth and overbearing mentality. If she ever learned to master a firearm, I would likely be her first live target.

Teach her how to reload with a lee loader. Then she will appreciate every shot fired and will shoot less. But still shoot
 
looks like she's learned how to hit a target now might the time to help teach her to put all her bullets into a small group on her targets.... my wife likes to shoot the colt det spl she inherited from her dad.... i do reload for both of us because she really has no interest in helping with that..... are all texas chicks that HOT??
 
I know the feeling. I started my 11y.o. grandson into shooting, and now he thinks I need to gift my new Hi-Point .40 carbine to him! His 10/22 just don't cut it anymore, he shot up all my .40 ammo yesterday. Maybe Santa will bring him a HP 9mm carbine. He likes my 1911's too, but can't hit diddly with them. He's pretty good with the rifles though, but he doesn't want to try the 30-06. Yet.

I had been letting my stocks of .45 ACP drop as I had switched to different carry weapons. That is till the wife went and bought her a new Kimber. With the current prices I am almost afraid to go look now. Luckily the FIL pitched in with more than a few boxes. :)
 
Poor bastard, she's expensive... Ammo, project rifle, then that pistol, then ring...
 
Her grip is off because while running hurdles back in high school, she took a massive fall. Long story short, she's got bad muscle/nerve damage in her shoulder and she just started going to physical therapy.

Which is why she wanted me to teach her to shoot one handed last time we were out. She liked that very much.

Be careful what you wish for. My girlfriend wants her own pistol and says nothing less than a .45 will do! Lucky me, she said she may settle for the .38 in a snubnose if she lived somewhere with CCW.
 
You can always take up reloading to cut costs on bullets. The girlfriend is a keeper.
